Sorry, I am too lazy to link...here's a huge lost of sites that half might have been covered, but it's worth a look...I found this site here through it.

EDIT: hey, this forum does it auto-link. Nice.

It turns out that today is opposite day, so all of what you have said is true, so you should probably just go.

Time Crisis 4

Some poking around has revealed that the music for this game is available directly from the source. Enjoy!

I was speaking idiomatically.

I was pretty impressed when I saw how much music they have to download...however, then I realised those tracks are straight from ffdhrine (galbadia hotel). Meh, thought it was too good to be true.

For VGM OSTs covers:

http://www.gamemusicimages.com/ - Good pics of front and back (sometimes even obis and booklets) of many VGM from Capcom, Falcom, KOEI, Konami, Nintendo, Sega, Taito, SNK, Squaresoft, etc.

A very great place to download stuff from anime, games, manga OSTs, direct download. The problem: it's chinese. Turn on your google translator.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The Mr. Methane CD, purchased over ebay for .01¢. Yeah, free shipping. This guy performs all sorts of neat stuff, including the doot doot, doot doot from the Blue Danube.

Allow me to share a track from this CD. Here ya go.
I think he should have paid you .01¢ instead.

Conan game music

Trawling of the Music4Games forums - which has its own list of links to free music - has turned up the music for the 2004 Conan game (GameSpot entry for PS2 version).

All the (wonderful) SimCity 3000 tunes, as well as the music from SimCity 4: Rush Hour, can be downloaded from the official site here:

http://simcity.ea.com/coolstuff/music_index.php

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
Check out my original music at my Soundcloud page!

Latest music rips (updated January 10, 2012):

SimCity DS - Jazz/ambient/electronic music including interesting reworkings of songs from the fantastic SimCity 3000 soundtrack
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

just want to update guys. I have mentioned about chinese site called levelup.cn, but I found that the site is pretty confusing for those not able to read chinese kanji.

just go to this url instead, to show the (long) list of the albums:
http://www.levelup.cn/download/Downloadlist.asp?id=3

and if you need to search an album, use the search box on the left, and change the kanji into 音乐 (the first kanji is read On, it means sound, but I couldnt find anything about the 2nd). happy hunting!

Knowing the history of who's in charge of it, "going down" might be a poor choice of words in a place where little kids may normally post at.

I catch... words easily but that lost me.

Oh, and it's back up. However goldeneye and circleofdeth are very much dead (I get lead to one of those general interest sites) and mundas (or something like that won't connect). Much frustration at the best places not having DKC soundtrack or the ONE Sonic Rush Groove version song I'm looking for. -_-

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Although we may not be as active VGM-wise as we may have been years ago, we're still a better place to get music from than FFShrine. Do you not have an FTP client to download from the FTP servers here? Or you can just use Audio Requests. No one really minds.

My beef with FFShrine is not so much that it's operated by Sarah, but because it's full of internet newbie 12-year olds who can't rip and encode for shit.

I was recently made aware that the composers of Prototype's music - Sascha Dikiciyan and Cris Velasco - have made much of it available on a dedicated site. For those wanting the tuneage to go, some more looking around turned up this list of URLs:
  1. Alex Theme
  2. Memory in Death
  3. Things to Come
  4. In the Web
  5. First and Last Things
  6. Alex Awakes
  7. A Dream of Armageddon
  8. The Stolen Body
  9. A New Order
  10. Main Menu
  11. Under the Knife
  12. On Instinct
  13. Behind the Glass
  14. Errand Boy
  15. The Wheels of Chance
  16. Open Conspiracy
  17. Men Like Gods
  18. Biological Imperative
  19. Past and Present
  20. The Door in the Wall
  21. The Last Man

One Alexander Linhart (music producer for Splinter Cell: Conviction; he uses the handle NextSG on Ubisoft's forums) has decided to share with the community an unofficial soundtrack for said game. You can pick it up from Megaupload...
