How do I create M3U and SFV files?
I couldn't find this in the big topic because "M3U and SFV" are too small for search. Anyway, I have some stuff I'm going to upload to seanne's FTP, but I can't figure out how to create these files. I want to, so I can be as thorough as everyone else, but I need some help.
I've found some software that claims to do it, but the website looks a little shady. Thanks in advance! Jam it back in, in the dark. |

M3U: Get Winamp. Open the playlist editor and drag the mp3s into there. Then click on Misc > Sort List > By Path and Filename. This arranges the mp3s in the same order as they appear on the album. Then, go to List Opts > Save List, and find the directory where you want to save the M3U file to.
SFV: Get hkSFV and install it. Highlight the files you want to make an SFV for, then right-click > hkSFV > Create SFV. hkSFV will open up and do the work for you. Don't close it until it's verified all the files you've selected - the SFV will appear in the directory of the highlighted files when it's done. Of course, there are other programs out there that can make M3Us and SFVs for you, but Winamp and hkSFV are the ones I use. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Thanks a lot! This will be extremely helpful.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
