Usually when Ben comes off of any injury he shits the bed. Just a tough game for him tonight.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Yeah. I expect he'll improve week by week, unless god forbid another injury comes along. I'm usually a pretty big Pittsburgh fan, but this week I had Jacksonville on defence, so I guess I came out on top anyway.

And, hey, the guy I was facing in my other fantasy league had Willie and Hines still left to play. I guess I won that one, considering the both of them gained about 10 yards.

Where was the apeshit defensiveness? I'm more than a little confused. I question that the Steelers will win and you think I'm going apeshit. S'okay Wojo. Thanks for the rating by the way, having a rating of 5 was really throwing off my mojo. HE DOESNT SUPPORT MY FOOTBALL TEAM, MUST RATE LOWER.

I can feel the love here in this thread. Back to the topic at hand however...

couple of big games this week. Jacksonville vs. Indy, Bears @ Vikings, Denver @ New England, and a MNF showdown between the Saints and Falcons. Who takes home the victories this week folks?

How ya doing, buddy?

Jacksonville for the upset. Bears for the win. New England gets vengence for last year's playoffs. Saints use Super Dome reopening momentum to dominate.

And most importantly, Ravens go to 3-0.

That's my scorecard for Sunday/Monday.

That was the most disappointing game I've ever been to, and I was at the Colts game in 2003. Pathetic by the defense there. Unbelievable. Just...can't put it into words how bad that was by the defense in the end.

The game between the Panthers and Bucs felt like a playoff game, especially in the 4th quarter when it got close. Both teams really needed that win, I'm just glad the Panthers came out on the winning end. Simms really showed me something though. He had done a whole lot of nothing for 10 quarters, and then turns it around in the second half of today's game. The Bucs were down 17-0 but were able to fight back.

Also, we saw what Steve Smith means to the Panthers. Him getting back on the field and being very effective after the hamstring injury, as well as Keyshawn Johnson stepping up, were the keys to our victory. I think we're finally starting to get back on track.

I just don't know what to say about Big Ben. This is 3 games now, including the Superbowl, where he's had uncharacteristic performances. I thought after his struggles last Monday, he'd be able to turn things around. I was mistaken. He played poorly again. Again, I'm not sure what's going on with him. Maybe all the injuries, and the temultuous year he's had, has taken it's toll.

Lastly, congrats to Brett Favre. He became only the second player in history with 400 TD passes. It's also good that he achieved that milestone in a winning effort.

Got that right. I was fortunate enough to not to see the game as I was at work. Good thing I didn't I probably would have been really pissed. At this point I don't know what to think of my team.

Holy...Ravens are indeed 3-0, but...Holy Sweet Drama FTW.

4th Quarter TD (makes the score 9-14). Miss the conversion. Stover Field Goal (12-14) Last second pick-off when Cleveland only has to kick a field goal to put things out of reach (play of the game). McNair gets team down the field somehow. McNair gets hurt. McNair NEARLY gets picked off. 52 YD Field Goal. WIN! 15-14.

We should've had an easier time VS Cleveland, but oh well...Still a hell of a win. Their QB and defense looked really good all game.

Steelers vs Bengals was a riot...I was rooting for the Steelers just because Cincy was also undefeated, but I kind of forgot once that punt was recovered by Cincy. Crazy shit.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well, maybe Ben came back too soon. I know he was eager to get back but maybe it was a little too premature. It might be good for him to step back for a moment. Charlie Batch played well for them in Week 1, granted, they were playing the Dolphins. I don't know a whole lot about Batch or his career, but do you think he could step in for a few weeks and pick up the slack?

.... or the Steelers might be better off if Roethlisberger just stayed on the field. There's always a chance he could get out of this funk. Plus, switching QBs week after week isn't good for any team's chemistry or cohesion.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The only way Ben's going to shake off the rust and atrophy is to play. I think we can afford to eat a few losses, given last season

Well to be fair...Ben didn't bumble the punt return and basically give Cincy a 50 yard gain on a punt (and later, a TD). Pittsburgh probably should have won that game otherwise.

I was speaking idiomatically.

That really sucks about Simms. I think it's wishful thinking for Simms to come back this season. Rightfully so. I wouldn't want my QB coming back from a splenectomy for the sake of his health. That is no joke.

My Lions lost another close game... I thought for sure they would've been able to beat the Packers. Well, at least they got some offense finally going. Maybe next week.

I was more depressed and disappointed with this one with the simple fact that I was there in the best seats I had ever sat in. I was also standing practically the entire game and cheering my ass off (also losing my voice in the process). While it was fun, the ending to that just leaves a very bad taste in one's mouth.

As per Simms, he's out now for at least 6 weeks, possibly the whole season. We have Shaun King trying out right now (Wow, I can't even put that into perspective), and we will have Tommy Maddox and a few others in town over the next few days for tryouts. Should be interesting.

The Lions...well I feel your pain sir. It sucks quite indeed.

Oh Jesus God no.

The spleen they took out of Chris Simms could play QB better than Tommy Maddox.

Both Oakland and New England have already had him for tryouts.

And yeah I'm still fuming over that Steeler loss.

TO didn't "try" to commit suicide. He claims it was a misunderstanding, but I think he wanted to act the melodramatic drama queen we all know him to be. "Oh gee I'm so sad and these pills look so tasty."
