Dunno about all that, but if Tony Romo plays as good as he did today, the Cowboys could make some noise. With the NFC in such wretched shape, they're as good as anyone. Except Chicago. ;p

Ravens=8-2=Only 3 playoff wins for Championship? Our remaining schedule isn't exactly difficult. We probably only need to go 2-6 (or even 1-5...maybe) to take the division. Of course, home field plus getting to sit out a round would be sweet.

Well...

You spelled Terence Newman's name wrong.

And the lack of a WR shows something.

But he's black (the blackest!). And you called him out on something he did incorrectly. Pretty blatant racism.

I've never felt better about going into a VS Steelers game...If we lose, who cares. If we win, we're up 5 on them with 5 to play. Most intercepted QB vs defense with most interceptions...I like those odds.

Hey, I finally remembered to do this again on Saturday night! Ironically, the only game I see a semi-serious contest going on is Chicago v New England.

Truth be told, I dunno. I'm pretty big on the Patriots in general, and Grossman certainly plays badly enough to lose for his team lately, but the Bears defense is a well-oiled machine, and if the Colts pass defense can make Brady look buffoonish, Da Bears' certainly can. Still, when the Patriots are good they're damned good, and as mentioned, I'm a Pats fanboy at heart. So I'll stick with a Patriots pick. Do me proud, boys.

Sass and I headed out a little after the third quarter began between the Pats and Bears, and I told her, "If the Ravens won, that means the Pats can too." Sure enough...

Mike Vick is an albatross on my fantasy football team (I've got him and Carson Palmer) and while I didn't play him (and will very likely win), he's so inconsistent I wouldn't be surprised if he found himself on another team in the near future.

I don't go into work until Thursday...I've got plenty of time to think of proper gloating methods for Steelers/Eagles/Giants fans. I wouldn't be surprised if my Ravens banner in my cubicle ends up desecrated by the end of the year...

Everyone I talk to (now) agrees: Colts vs Ravens in the AFC Championship game and it'll all come down to whether or not we can stop Peyton.

You can stop Peyton. All you have to do is remind him hes playing a playoff game.

I can't really understand Michael Vick with his good games and his absolute horrid ones. Like he can pass well enough as he's shown, but he's inability to sustain something of a passing game just doesn't make sense to me.

Schaub may be coming in, but Vick has talent to do something, if not be a QB somewhere. Transition to WR? Probably not.

I like Tony Romo for the Cowboys, but that's a given - though Rex Grossman, QB for the Bears, is kinda similar to Vick. Great in some games, but some horrid one as well. He had 2 3 INTs games in his last four games.

Not to parrot a line that sportscasters have been saying a lot lately, but Vick's passing game really would improve if his recievers would stop dropping passes.

Yeah, I understand that. I guess I'm a bit more critical since we both grew up in the same city, but I dunno - Atlanta needs some makeovers here and there on both offense and defense.

Since the Eagles suck and will continue to suck until Reid is fired and they actually get some defensive players in here, the best team to me looks like the Chargers right now. They are winning without Merriman and have the best balance of offense and defense IMO.

Well, so it seems the writing is on the wall more or less for Simeon Rice here. Simms will apparently be resigned (according to the paper this morning), but I have some serious doubts about his actual future here. Simeon Rice and Brian Kelly will probably both gone next season. I do have next season to look forward to (top 10 draft pick, 4 picks on the first day -- up to 30 million under the cap).

On the topic of the NFL in general, I think the best team is either the Chargers or the Ravens (despite that loss to the Bengals). It'll be interesting to see come playoff time if teams like the Colts or Bears in particular will actually be able to compete and win when it really counts.

Oh yeah, Capo, Wojo...you's goin down this week.

Definitely forgot about Thursday's game. Didn't even notice it was there until Sportscenter talked about it.

It's on NFL Network right?

Yeah its on NFL Network. The interesting thing is though is that most of the cable providers that carry the NFLN are not paying more money for the primetime games. So, unless you're in the local area, you won't get to see em, even if you have the network. And, the great thing is, they failed to inform us sooner (which is bullshit).

I'd rather lose this weekend. I see us at 5-11 at years end. It'll be interesting to see if any heads roll around here. Unless Gradkowski shows improvement, and Gruden is still around, I could see a top end QB draft pick here in Tampa Bay.
