Major Display Problem
Yo. I updated to the newest nVidia driver this evening (released back on 09/28 I believe) and I decided to change some settings to make the display look a little better.
Don't fix what's not broken is the moral of this story. I forget which setting I changed -- anyway, I completely can't see anything on the display. Everything shrunk down to letterbox size and is a complete jumbled mass. Looks like the scrambled porn channel. Anyway, I'm wondering if I can fix this by going into safe mode, unless there are some other options. For example, if I can use system restore from the boot menu or sometime during the rebooting process to just go back before I installed the new driver. Additional Spam: Er, nevermind. Problem was fairly easy to solve, just had a bit of a panic attack. Found out how to get into safe mode (all these websites were just telling me to hit F8, but that wasn't the key. Hit F8 right as the WIndows logo appears. Timing.) finally and was able to roll back the video card's driver. Problem solved. Thanks for listening! Jam it back in, in the dark.
