So unless Valve is trolling us (weekly deals ending sooner than normal, etc.), it looks like the Steam Summer Sale will begin tomorrow, June 19th.

Any games you guys are hoping go down in price and by how much?

For me, the number 1 and 2 games on my list are Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga and Lego Star Wars III. They have stayed at $20 for a long time and were not marked down at all during Steam's Lego and Star Wars sales that happened this past year.

It might be a long shot, but I'm hoping for a 50% price cut on both games (I might be willing to go 25%).

There are other games on my wishlist I'm hoping will go down like Watch Dogs (Deadpool went on sale last year a couple of weeks after release so this is possible), Final Fantasy III (under $10), and Blazblue (under $5) to name a few, but the Lego Star Wars games are top priority.

Edit: Might wait on Watch Dogs until they fix it.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Honestly i might just log out of Steam all together for the duration. Sadly broke at the moment.

But knowing me i'll probably break once or twice. I've been itching to play The Wolf Among us for a while now, as well as The Banner Saga. I may just go down my wishlist starting tomorrow and see if there are any irresistible deals.

I have also been recently been playing a lot more multiplayer games with other youtubers or just with friends, so if some names come to me by way of associations i may bring myself to make some purchases.

SuperSonic, since most of what you've listed are console ports, I would recommend that you check customer feedback very carefully before picking up said items. I've read horrible things about Watch Dogs in that respect; as for the LEGO franchise, I picked up LEGO LotR during the last sale and the game is full of issues, one of which sadly has no known solution and terminally freezes the game after 10-15 minutes. The console version was patched but not the PC one, i.e. I bought something unplayable and unsupported. I hope for your sake that the SW games don't suffer from the same issues.

To answer the thread, I'll be hoping for discounts on coop oldies like Borderlands 2 and Magicka. Not really going to buy 50 games this time around, I already have enough backloggery for the entire summer (recently picked up Spelunky and Braid among others).

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Yeah, originally Watch Dogs was going to be a day one buy for me but I held off because I was going to be picking up Mario Kart 8 three days later. I had a feeling I would be playing MK8 more than that.

I have yet to regret that decision. I've been keeping an eye out on the most helpful reviews on Steam for Watch Dogs, all of them negative.

One of the most screwed up parts I've read is that basically, nVidia is in bed with Ubisoft so if you have ATi hardware then Watch Dogs isn't gonna like it which means my desktop is okay but my laptop is screwed.

Then there's UPlay, which needs to go die in a fire.

Blazblue seems to be fine but I haven't checked the others yet so I'll do that when I get a chance.

Also, for anyone looking to pre-order the Ultra Street Fighter IV upgrade Green Man Gaming's 20% coupon works on it so you can bring it down to $12.00.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Has anyone here played Risk of Rain, any recommendations? Had it on my Wishlist and it just dropped to $2.50 which might as well be free.

Risk of Rain is a no brainer at $2.50. It's a great pick up and play game.

Blazblue seems to be fine but I haven't checked the others yet so I'll do that when I get a chance.
The problem with Blazblue is that it's a terrible game, or at least the Vita version was.

I'll look at the sale but with 51 uninstalled games in my Steam library already, a years worth of unplayed PsPlus games and a stack of unopened 360 games on my shelf it's unlikely I'll feel the need to buy anything, especially as Space Hulk was in the latest humble bundle.

Was gifted One Way Heroics, it's pretty interesting and brutal. I may try to stream that at some point.

Notable entries I've seen: Skyrim Legendary Edition for like $14, FF 3 for $10 and looks like 7 and 8 are roughly $4/each.

Makes me kinda sad I'm as flat broke as I am that I'm probably going to miss the majority of this sale this year, but it's a blessing cause I have so much stuff unplayed from last year lol.

Blazblue seems to be fine but I haven't checked the others yet so I'll do that when I get a chance.
It runs on like 30 FPS which is choppy as hell. Or not too bad. Has no multiplayer though, or the service is lacking.

The problem with Blazblue is that it's a terrible game, or at least the Vita version was.
That's because you're supposed to play it on an arcade stick, not a controller. You might as well turn on Stylish mode if you're playing it on Vita, miss all the technicality (and the beauty) of pulling off combos.

SuperSonic has done a noble gentleman's deed and increased the number of Dragons at my disposal. In fact, so many additional Dragons are now under my command that my total supply of Dragons has, in fact, been Doubled. This is an alarming increase in overall Dragon levels.

In other news, [YOUR NAME HERE] BUY STREET FIGHTER

So here's what I ended up nabbing:

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition
Halo Spartan Assault
White Noise Online (gifted, pretty much an online multiplayer Slender)
Octodad - Dadliest Catch
The Stanley Parable
Payday 2
Metal Slug 3
Eryi's Action (gifted)
Final Fantasy III
gone home
Scribblenauts Unmasked
Awesomenauts (gifted)
Tabletop Simulator (gifted)
Pac-Man Museum & Ms. Pac-Man DLC (gifted)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (gifted)
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (gifted)
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition
Kingpin - Life of Crime
The Golf Club
The Impossible Game
Double Dragon: Neon
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Gold Edition
Assassin's Creed Liberation HD w/ Bonus Pack

I also preordered the Ultra Street Fighter IV upgrade on Green Man Gaming (25% off coupon that runs out Monday brought it down to $11.25).

I held off on Watch Dogs even though it went on sale, twice, for 20% off. I've still got 8 items on my wish list (1 of which doesn't come out until 2015), but overall it turned out to be a good sale,.

In addition to a whole crapload of other games I picked up BattleBlock Theater today. It was a lot of fun on 360, and it looks like several people are picking it up on Steam for co-op while it's cheap.

As for the rest:
- Outlast
- One Way Heroics
- Deponia
- Nimble Quest
- Super Amazing Wagon Adventure (I love this game so much)
- Octodad: Dadliest Catch
- DLC Quest
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Stanley Parable
- Always Sometimes Monsters
- Escape Goat 2
- Skyborn
- Year Walk

I was speaking idiomatically.

Apparently I managed to scrape together enough for a few games this year. Picked up:

- Hitman: Absolution
- Dark Souls
- Super Hexagon
- Call of Juarez
- Far Cry 3
- System Shock 2
- Payday 2 (does anyone still play this? or has the novelty worn off already?)
- Shadowrun Returns
- Ikaruga
- Puppygames' Ultrabundle (Revenge of the Titans, Ultratron, Titan Attacks!, and Droid Assault)

Really bummed I didn't see the post about the USF4 coupon until just now though. Otherwise, I woulda gotten it

Risk of Rain
- I like pretty much anything with co-op

Orion: Dino Horde
- This looked hilariously awful for a Game Night game. So you all that missed out on this, better pick it up at some point.

Gone Home
- Heard neat things, was cheap.

Blackwell Bundle
- Indie adventure series on the cheap? Sign me up.

Syberia Collection
- More adventure games, yes.

Brothers
- I've heard a lot of great things about this. Looking forward to playing it.

Banished
- I like building sims a lot and I'm a sucker for the medieval aesthetic so this was an easy buy.

System Shock 2
- Haven't played in ages and this was probably the easiest way to make it work again.

One Way Heroics
- Pang said to buy it and it was 87 cents, so.

Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior
- We talk about going back to this a lot for Game Night, and we haven't yet but when we do I'll be READY.

Shadowrun Returns
- Shadowrun has a cool setting, so it was impossible to pass it up for the couple bucks it was going for.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
