They went through the trouble to make the charging panels in Mute City restore your coins and outright replace coins with rupees and rupee noises in the Zelda track. A simple victory jingle change seems so trivial compared to that. Oh well.

Yeah, people on /v/ were complaining about that actually. Since you can still use the DLC vehicles/parts and characters while racing with non-DLC people who don't have access to them this could give people who have the DLC an advantage. The Blue Falcon also has pretty nice stats as well. Other people in the thread said stats were only really relevant in Time Trials but it could give a little extra oomph with the right driver all that he/she needs.

Sorry, I missed out on Karts this week. I was talking to Q about Shirogane no Nina off and on for a few hours because it had references to Finland. A whopping 4 of them after reading 40 some odd chapters but I talked about shit with him about when I lived in Alaska for two years as well which is the closest experience I can relate to Finland. Anyway, it be snowing over here and when 4 PM rolled around I went outside to shovel a shit ton up. 2 hours later I finally finished. I should have told Q and chat what I was up to but I was hoping I'd have been able to complete it a bit faster. It was pretty thick snow and eventually turned into sleet. Anyway, super happy that SuperSonic captured karts so I'm watching that right now. <3<3<3

Neo Bowser City looks pretty disappointing. They didn't change it at all and it was kind of a meh track in Mario Kart 7 that really could have been great it they had done a total Mario Kart 8 rehaul. Cheese Land looks like it could be fun but I think the lack of a night/moon aesthetic makes it look like every other desert track in the game. Also while I'm okay with not having mousers on the track they should have at least had them in the stands or on the sides like they do with Shy Guys, Toads, and Yoshis. Besides those two tracks and my complaints with them, DLC2 is pretty damn stellar. I really hope Nintendo announces two more DLC packs at E3. Extending the life of Mario Kart 8 will ensure that people keep playing and giving Nintendo money.
