I've enjoyed the recent work of the Black Mages (One-Winged Angel and Last Battle (FFIII)), mostly because the solos near the end of the songs were less outrageous and more fitting. I no longer enjoy the first album and much of the second due to solos which just don't fit, or performance styles which are too slow for my tastes.
Assuming the third album will be styled more like Last Battle (FFIII) and One-Winged Angel, I think I'll be very pleased. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
