The report was prepared by Victoria Espinel, the first Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator who received Senate confirmation in December 2009, and represents a broad tightening of many forms of intellectual property law including ones that deal with counterfeit pharmaceuticals and overseas royalties for copyright holders.
So, what are GFF's thoughts on this? Personally, I find it a bit laughable. I mean, it'd only be a matter of time before someone found a new way to pirate things anyway.

Also: " The term "fair use" does not appear anywhere in the report. "

Or in other words- Look down, back up! Your YouTube is now Vevo!

I think the copyright issue is none of the governments business, personally.

Business have the responsibility to protect what is theirs as they see fit, and people will always try to get around them, but that's their seesaw. The White House is ineffectual anyway, they'll just use this as one more tool to get at people for other things ... it's not like they can actually stop piracy.
