Looking back on the trailer, am I the only one that notices Mario getting his ass whupped constantly?

First Mario grabs his thing and unleashes WTFPWN fireballs, then Link goes all "O U DI'INT" and slashes the crap out of him, and then Kirby fucking COOKS him, and then METAKNIGHT slashes the crap out of him.

Poor guy's getting ABUSED. ;_;

People are going to be clamoring for 3rd party characters left and right. If they're not careful they're gonna get a came jam-packed with generic, unbalanced 3rd party characters.

Oh, and I'm really glad I followed the link on the website to their forums. It has gems like this post.

As for Nintendo characters, now that Wario's in the roster, Waluigi's probably going to be in it, no doubt about it. Ack, I can't really think of any other Nintendo characters that should appear at the moment...
Captain Olimar needs more love man! Also the Animal Crossing guy should be there, equipped with net and shovel.

Wow. Just, wow. Is it confirmed that the trailer was using in-game graphics? Because if so, it looks DAMN good for a system that's suppose to be underpowered!

I also like how at the very beggining, Mario, Link, and even Pikachu looked better when they transformed while Kirby just stayed the same.

How about all the characters from this game (besides Solid Snake since he's already in). Optimus Prime would make a lot of people very happy.

Side note: Google fucking rocks

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah that was a fun touch. Link looks WORLDS better.

Also, god damn that shot of Samus blasting the shit out of everybody is AMAZING! The visuals in this game really are fantastic for something considerably less powerful than the competition. Looks like that item that everyone grabs is a super move item. Can't wait to see what other attacks characters can unleash!

Man the box shit was hilarious.

Props to Nintendo to play off a good joke to appeal to MGS fans.

The graphics itself look fine to me. Sure they aren't as good as 360 or PS3 but I think the fun factor will dominate and define Nintendo's stance and doing it through SSBB.

Btw... didn't someone mention SSBB BEFORE E3 here?

Grit WAS mentioned in an old Nintendo Power issue in a list of potential characters. Let's just hope he makes the cut.

(although if he doesn't I can live with Snake)

Wow this thread is an explosion on par with Wario's arse (BEST MOVE EVER). This looks INSANE. I must type every word at the end of a sentence in CAPS. So glad there's going to be the option of using the GameCube controller. WARIO. PIT. NINTENDOG. Hopefully Snake has an attack where he just taps on nearby walls.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I think the chances of a Belmont being in the game could be pretty good now. Especially with this whole fan-submitted rosters, there are so many people out there that want that to happen. If not, I wouldn't be surprised to see a different Castlevania character, say Soma Cruz, in the game.

Its obvious that Im a huge Simon Belmont fan, but Soma Cruz could be a cooler character possibly. He could have some sweet tactical soul attacks, and that leaves the door open for possilby tactical soul items! Now that would be a dream come true.

And whoever it was that said earlier, that the game should have Advance Wars characters in it, I SECOND wholeheartedly. I wanna see some Andy or Max action.

Double Post:
Hm... The Smash Bros. emblem seems like its an item to unleash some super attack, like Mario does, and then Link does. By the way, how freakin sweet are those triforce effects!?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Very cool interview here

http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=64601

Quote:
Nintendo: [At this point, the Nintendo PR guy on the podium receives a text message. It is very funny, he tells us. It says:] Will Wario have a fart move?

Masahiro Sakurai: Yes he will.
Best game ever confirmed!

I also find this interesting
Quote:
Nintendo: Did Nintendo approach Konami about Super Smash Bros. or was it the other way around?

Masahiro Sakurai: Actually, what really brought about the Snake character was from a conversation I was having back when I was developing the Smash Bros. game for GameCube when Hideo Kojima phoned me and practically begged me to put Snake in the game, saying please, put him in there, I want him in there!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

If any Castelvania characters are gonna be in there it should be Alucard. If he doesn't make it though, Simon or Richter Belmont would suffice.

This game is already shaping up to be a Nintendo fanboy's wet dream. If any more third-party characters are added, it could become a gamer's wet dream, which is probably what Nintendo would like.

One thing for sure...

I really fucking hope Uematsu doesn't do the soundtrack for SSBB. I really dislike the overall style of Uematsu's music.

I hope Ando and Kondo do it again.

Really? Uematsu's music is usualy sooo dramatic. It works with Final Fantasy. With SSB however IT'D BE FUCKING HILARIOUS! Which makes me kinda hope that he does. Time will tell.

I still can't believe they found a way to whore in Nintendogs. That's almost as crazy as Snake being in the game.

Wow. SSBM is the best fighting game I've ever played. Now with Wiimote support, Zero Suit Samus, and Snake, this game is a very good reason to buy a Wii. "We wants it, our precious!"
