The Space Flight Sim is an unfortunately dead genre. If you've ever heard of Tachyon: The Fringe it's worth a looksee.
There is, however, a new space sim on the horizon called
Space Force 2 that's coming down the line at some point. I've got so many reservations about the thing, though, that I should be getting casino money. If you've never heard of the original Space Force, it's because it was an
entirely different game. Making the transition from crappy top-down shooter to open-ended exploratory space sim is more than pretty ambitious for a no-name Croat developer.
They've also got a translator who's supposed to be fluent in English, but they must not pay him much, because he hasn't told them yet that "fight" isn't the only word for combat. Be prepared for galactic conflict filled with fight.
