Telus bandwidth monitoring?

For the longest time, Telus' online bandwidth meter was broken. It would always report my upload and download usage as 0%. This was awesome because of the ridiculous amount of stuff I download. Our internet plan gives us a measly a 30GB of upload and download bandwidth combined!

I checked last month's phone bill and say about $25 worth of non-descriptive "extra charges." I figure it could be that they've fixed their bandwidth monitoring. Any one know for sure? I'm nearly out of usage.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I was routinely between 300% and 1000% and I was never billed an extra dime. I got a couple of emails suggesting that I use less, but whatever.

How ya doing, buddy?

Render, I'm on the same plan as you and the monitor has always been working. Occasionally I download ~125%, but they never say anything. Telus is pretty slack about how much bandwidth you use. It's strange you were billed for "extra-charges", because the most I've ever seen come out of an exceeded bandwidth was a warning, and even that is rare.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
