'98 BMW 528i
I recently bought a 528i. It was listed as having the "premium" soundpack, with six-disc CD changer, but the bass sucks! I have an aftermarket deck, amp, and two 12" subs at home. Does anyone know how I can install these into my car?
Jam it back in, in the dark.

I did check it out. The vehicle runs great. Just the "premium" stereo sucks when it comes to bass.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I shall quote a friend of mine, in reference to working on cars:
Just do a little reading and have at it. It's best to try it, mess something up, and learn where you went wrong. You learn from your mistakes and chances are you won't make that mistake again. Basically get the deck in there, which may involve buying some aftermarket plates and whatnot to make it look like a clean install. Next find where you want the amp and subs and wire them in. Adjust some settings, and away you go. The reason this description is vague is because I encourage you to do some reading about your car and how to install stuff  Most amazing jew boots  While everyone around me is busy drowning, I float.

Well, that is one way to go. However, I'm not so comfortable with this idea because I've only messed with the stereo equipment on domestic vehicles. Not expensive imports. They might have some crazy stuff that works on the same circuit with the radio or something...

The factory amp and disk changer are in the trunk behind a panel. I'm wondering if I could just simply disconnect the amp and put in my aftermarket one... It's possible that the factory amp is wired into all the car's speakers though...which means if I disconnect it, I won't get anything except for maybe the bass.
