Simple CD Burner...?

I just downloaded Nero 8 and I'm amazed at how much memory a freakin' CD burning program came with, and how much useless (to me) stuff came with it. What is a good CD burning program out there that is plain and simple? Give me your feedback!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Depends on what you want to do. ImgBurn ist quite good, very good burning engine and some mastering capabilities.

How ya doing, buddy?

This is what I would like to do: Burn Images to CD's, Copy CD's on the fly, Create 'mix' music CD's. Is that exact enough?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I hate the new nero too, lots of bloat, Ive been using the old version, according to some, the best one when it comes to essential features, its Nero v6.1. Lemme know if you wanna try it out, I have the setup files with crack :P. last time I check it uses 30mb+ of ram upon launching. I recently have been using imgburn exclusively as it is very reliable, can burn isos and many different image files, has support for dvd video and audio, copy cds and dvds as isos, has verification capabilities, sector viewer, and you can also burn data files via the build command, all in one light program (less than 5mb!) The only thing imgburn cant do that I need nero for is to burn multisession discs.

You might also wanna try CDburnerxp, its free, my geeky friend says he prefers it over imgburn as it has support for bluray too lol. CDBurnerXP: Introduction and News

No, what are music CDs for you? Audio CDs that respect the red book standard or do you mean ordinary data CDs with an ISO filesystem (containing something like MP3s?).
AFAIK ImgBurn has no audio CD mastering capabilities.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Seconding CDBurnerXP. It burns more than just CDs and it's not just for XP. Simple and free.

(Gee, didn't realize this was so OLD.)
