I heard a theory, wild or inplausible as it may be, that the reason Ben is bloody and exhausted (and by a shipyard, it seemed) is that he went to kill Desmond's sweet Penneh. Vengeance could be a reason to explain how Desmond may head back to the island.

I am pretty interested in next week's episode, myself. I was wondering if they'd explain what Locke was up to when he got back to the states. Or, you know, if he comes back.

Holy shit Desmond beat the fuck out of Ben. God damn. I was so worried he was going to kill PENNEH, so that was rather satisfying. And that ending with the judgement? GOD DAMN.

I seriously had tears in my eyes when Daniel talked to Charlotte, and again when Desmond was talking to PENNEH. Even worse, they killed Dan! THEY KILLED DAN! He was fast becoming my favorite character! Why couldn't they kill Miles?!

That is, of course, if he is actually dead. Seemed that way at the end though.

The more I feel bad for poor John Locke. That man's entire life he has been nothing but used and manipulated by people more clever than he is. People taking advantage of his good hearted nature. And now, after everything that he's been through, he had to be killed simply so whatever that dude was could take his form and manipulate others into killing Jacob.

I am still trying to figure out where the fuck this show is going now, anyway.

I'm thinking this guy can only take the form of someone dead. By convincing Alpert to tell Locke what must be done I think he was helping himself to the body of a man he knew he could use to manipulate others.
