Are you CPR certified?

Curious about who are the life-saving members of GFF.

I know HOW to do CPR, but that's not enough for some.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I am. My certification should be here somewhere. Although I haven't able to apply it in a real situation so far.

I used to be certified to do CPR, through my old boy scout troop. However, I think that thing might have expired.
So, I just voted that I know how, but don't have official certification.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Several times over again. We were trained professionally at least 3 times throughout my career in the Boy Scouts and at least twice in various school classes. I've never had to use it, thankfully, but I'm trained.

Yes I am. However, I need to renew my knowledge; it's been two years aldready.

This thing should be a part of the school curriculum; so many lives could be spared

Actually, there was a special unit on CPR and First Aid that I took in high school, but that was a while ago. If I had the time, I guess, I might try for a certification the next time.

Maybe 5 or so years ago I went to go get certified on my own, then a few years after I got certified again through the military, so I think I have it down pretty good.

I acquired honorary CPR Certification from my girlfriend in eight grade. I've been making mouths happy ever since. I have yet to save a life, however.

i know how vaguely, but have no certification since it was just a compulsory part of my school's curriculum; we had to be able to administer CPR and water-based rescue type stuff (helping drowning people, in case we somehow got stuck in the middle of a lake/ocean/sea). but this was awhile ago, about 5 years, hence the know vaguely

It is part of my school curriculum and we're learning it right now. And yeah, I think I'm going for my certification. I want to volunteer for the ambulance corps for my hours this summer.

I became CPR certified this year actually. I took Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries as part of my required P.E. credit and we were able to take the test for free as well as work on dummies to prove we knew what we were doing.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Everyone should be CPR certified - weather it is required or not. There's absolutly no reason not to be.

Locke, in some places it costs money to be certified. Though, I agree to the extent that everyone should know how. You never know when your bf is going to keel over. O_o

For me, it was a prerequisite for lifesaving classes, which I've always regretted not finishing. *sigh*

I am certified, but I believe it will expire this year... Not that I care, I still know how to do it. Luckily I have never had to use it, yet.

Added the applicable option for my situation.

I've been certified three times. Certification only lasts a year, so mine's a bit out of date at the moment. If a crisis came up, though, I know I'd be able to handle it.

I was certified way back when I was taking swimming lessons, but now it's just vague knowledge for me too. Sorry I can't be of much help if you happen to keel over at your comp, wherever that is.

I've actually never thought much about it.

Actually, what is CPR? What does it even stand for? I'm certainly not going to Google it, for I am lazy.
