Important Yuzo Question

For months, I have had plans to show love for one of the greatest, Yuzo Koshiro (it's ReMix related). I've been to his wiki page, and while I expected a sizable listing of his works, that sure is a bunch of games out there I was unaware of his working on, let alone titles I've never heard of.

My question is for the sake of helping me categorize: I know some of these game soundtracks may offer only one or several tracks composed by the man himself, others are all Yuzo... so which is which? More to the point, which of these games had soundtracks done entirely by Yuzo Koshiro? I expect it's safe for me to say I'm certain about Revenge of Shinobi, Super Adventure Island, Actraiser, and Streets of Rage, so what else have we got? Any help is appreciated.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Let's see, other than those, here are some others:

>> Wangan Midnight
>> Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2
>> Beyond Oasis *doesn't have an OST release*
>> Ys I & II *as a member of Falcom Sound Team jdK*
>> The Scheme
>> Misty Blue
>> Culcept *co-composed with Takeshi Yanagawa*
>> Shenmue *2 tracks*
>> Crack Down

There's nowhere I can't reach.

But bishop, which of those mentioned are entirely and only Yuzo? What I need are titles with every track composed by Koshiro, on his own, without co-composers or anyone else helping... which leaves out Culcept and Shenmue at the very least. Plus, I already know Streets of Rage 2 and 3 are also out.

Of those I mentioned: Wangan Midnight, Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2, Crack Down, Beyond Oasis, The Scheme and Misty Blue were soley done by Yoshiro.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Not that I want to be skeptical for the sake of giving you a hard time, but what proof is there that Koshiro did Crack Down? The game ROM?

EDIT: Yay! http://www.vgmworld.com/catalog/inde...4a6a926e67c576
I'd have to assume that the arcade music is the same as the music for all of the ports then, no?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Aye. I've been meaning to tell you (but never got around to) that the name of the track zyko mixed in "4:20 AM" is called "Kill Off [BGM4]" on the arcade OST. I'd hook you up if my computer weren't in the shop. Dunno about its name on that DVD set, though.

He also did most of the music from the new DS Castlevania, Portrait of Ruin. Michiru Yamane also composed a few tracks for that game.

Ah, thanks for the correction.

If I had a DS, I'll seriously get that special bundle they have that comes with an OST. Maybe VGMWorld can stock the OST separately. I may e-mail Kahori about that.

I believe Koshiro also composed for the Master System/Game Gear version of Sonic the Hedgehog. The title theme and the Green Hill Zone theme (and probably some others that I can't remember right now) were taken from the original Genesis version, but the rest are all original compositions.

Also, for more or less obscure ones:

Story of Thor 1 (MD)
Dungeons and Dragons - Eyes of the Beholder (Sega CD)
Vatlva (Saturn)
Algarna (PC88)
Slap Fight (MD)
Shinobi and Shinobi 2 (Game Gear)
Zork 1 (saturn)
Bosconian X68K

+ "The Slice" and "The Stickman is Back", as listed on his early collections CDs.

also Namco x Capcom opening and ending theme afaik, and the upcoming Atlus DS game Etrian Odyssey. wikipedia (english and japanese ones) is a pretty good source as well (go there yourself as I can't post links anyway yadda yadda).

There is a detailed biography of Yuzo in this site:
http://www.saindodamatrix.com.br/mob...oshiro_th.html

This is only the first part. The rest will come later.
