Digital Antenna VS. Set Top Box

Alrighty, so I've got my TV Tuner Box working but now that I'm able to watch TV, the antenna I've got is giving really shitty reception. Why watch TV when it's all fuzzy?

So I've been looking around and was wondering what the difference was between a digital antenna and a set top box. Is a set top box for TVs that aren't digital? What if you attach a digital antenna to your non-digital TV? Would it give you digital signals like the set top box?

What about if I were to connect them to my TV tuner box? Putting a set top box and TV tuner box would be confusing, so I was thinking about a digital antenna. But do they even do the same thing?

In a nutshell, what's the difference between the digital antenna and set top box? Would they work on my TV Tuner?

Thanks in advance ^_^.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
