After countless hours of attempt to identify tracks of this gamerip, I finally decide to put this on album comments so everyone could give comment about this game music since the remaining untitled tracks are only fanfare ones. Itadaki Street is monopoly game with charater from Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest it's very nature the music of the game actually features music from both franchise.

What makes this album is worth for your time is the new arrangement of Final Fantasy themes by Hayato Matsuo who also takes part in the Final Fantasy XII OST. The tracks are quite a refreshment, especially if you're looking for fine new arrangements of Final Fantasy music. The diversity of final fantasy musics here also quite large, from Final Fantasy I to Final Fantasy XII. I couldnt say which tracks are the greatest because they all sound nice to me, the new arrangement of battle themes are also quite good.

The Dragon Quest tracks sounded as if they are taken directly from Dragon Quest Symphonic Suites, I couldnt really tell which album they originally come from because there are quite numerous Dragon Quest Symphonic Suite Albums performed by different Orchestral performer. There is probability Sugiyama didnt do arrangement, since they could be simply just taken from the previous albums.

Because I love all dragon quest music, I dont have really complain about the quality of the performance, but I feel disappointed of the absence of catchy and powerful tunes from Dragon Quest IV, V, and VI. There is just no field theme or town theme from these three games, which I considered one Sugiyama's best. Even worse, the Minuet included in this game is originally comes from Dragon Quest I, which I think inferior compared to the powerful Minuet from Dragon Quest IV.

Well, the music of this game rip is actually very nice for both FF and DQ fans, unique blend of both techno (Final Fantasy) and classical (Dragon Quest). Hayato Matsuo did excellent job of arranging the Final Fantasy music.

4/5

Credit goes to Tappy for uploading this rip

EDIT: 27th track is renamed to Hero's challenge for the sake to avoid confusion.

I have to say that I really REALLY like this soundtrack. For one thing, I'm a sucker for remixes. Another thing, anything with FF battle remixes are great. And lastly - the Caitsith theme Ive had on constant loop for the last ten minutes. ^__^

I've only just now gotten into Dragon Quest music and I really love the themes represented here as well. I do however agree that I'd like to see more catchier DQ tunes in this assortment. Overall I think that this is really quality music right here.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I find this OST pretty sad. I understand that it's a Monopoly game or whatever, but when they remix some of the best battle tracks from the Final Fantasy series, one would expect more.

Everything seems a little too mellow. I'm mostly talking about the FF tracks because I haven't played any of the DQ games. And what is the damn deal with NO FF4+6 LOVE!? I can't believe they left out the best music from two of the best games in the series! What a joke.

On the other hand, my favorite track would have to be the main theme from FF5. It was epic like the original.

Battle with Gilgamesh was pretty weak. NES/MIDI composition = lose.

I'm not impressed.

I can't comment on the DQ tracks since I'm not a fan of the series, but I must say the FF remixes I've heard so far (and it's a lot) are really good, and some are better than the original tracks! I normally never say such things, usually preferring the original tracks over anything else, so having me say this is high praise indeed.

One beef, no remix for Still More Fighting (FFVII) :( That track totally rocks, and I was hoping for a remix of this one since other FF boss themes have been represented. Oh well, at least I have the Black Mages version. I love that too.

Oh, another beef. I agree that there should have been some tracks from FFIV and FFVI. FFVI has one of the best battle and boss themes in the FF universe, and it SUCKS that I don't get to see an update of them. Oh well, where's the love for Locke's Theme?

I was speaking idiomatically.

(btw, is track 25 & 27 supposed to be named the same?)

Love Matsuos arrangements on the FF tracks - nice to hear an orchestral arrangement of fighting and jenova (something differnet to sekito's rock arrangements)
I find that Sugiyama kinda reused his symphonic arrangements in this
Brilliant rip

Some people have asked me lately about 25 and 27trd track. you guys havent listened any of DQ III symphonic suite have you? actually the Fighting Spirit of each symphonic suites is a medley which consists of two songs, which is the normal battle and boss battle. The 27rd track has alternative name of "Hero's Challenge" taken from DQ III OST.

Double Post:
minor tracklist update. please update 24th track guy. I realized a typo. It was DQ VIII, not VII.

FELIPE NO

oh yeah, I overlook that one. btw could someone *really* kindly to edit this rip and cut the loop into 2,5 times only? Some tracks are looped three even five times. @_@;

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I would advise against that, because you will lose quality when you re-encode the tracks.

even after we reencode them to wav and encode them to vbr again? ;_;

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

There's no way to not lose quality when you convert a lossy compressed file to another lossy compressed file. The fact that there's a WAV file between doesnt change the fact that the source of the WAV was a 320kbps MP3...

I've been considering making a proper-loop edit out of this rip for a long time now, if not ONLY to save space from 5 loops and huge-ass 320kbps mp3s.
