Post Your Desktop v.3

In the spirit of actually following through with my New Year's resolution (9 months after the fact) I am trimming some fat off my diet. I'm going to start with the old thread because it had 760 posts. Anyway, you guys know how this works so go about your business.

Those of you who are new to this here's some pointers:

0. This should go without saying, but please be courteous and don't start getting uppity and take moral offense to other people's desktops or color schemes. (This means YOU, Merv.)

1. Please don't attach your wallpapers to your post. Instead, upload them to your own personal webspace or ask a friend to do it and link it here. Imageshack, Photobucket, Imagesocket and ImageRedirect are perfectly good alternatives so use them. This way we don't take up too much server space with attachments. If we see any posts containing attachments they will be cut like the fat kid from nationball.

2. Please don't stretch the tables of the postbit. All the image hosting sites above have some kind of automatic thumbnail function readily available when you upload your images so please make wise use of those features. Posts that stretch the tables will be deleted.

3. Do not make a post updating a new desktop picture every hour. Using this thread to boost your postcount will not be tolerated.

4. ?????

5. Profit

Here's my new desktop for 09/09/09:

That's Pleepleus, the official mascot of the show Three Sheets with a mojito. Icons are called Arcade Daze and can be found here.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Is that a dock style you got or is that the dock from Snow Leopard? I still use Leopard so I don't know.

Yea, I'm gonna need you to give me a link to that piece of art in 1920x1080.
Sure thing, bud.

Enjoy~

you mind giving the link to those icons too please ^^
Here's the link to the artist's website. The icons were made as a set for the Mac OS X but, provided you extract the files from the icon packages, you can use them with any icon program that supports PNG icons and masks.

I finally got tired of the same Litho icons I've been using for almost a year and replaced them with these Flurry icons that are on the IconFactory website.

'Cause Friday I'm in ♥!

(Also, imgur is the shit~)

It was a t-shirt design for Threadless which I found here and I just extended the canvas to fit my screen.

It's 1280x800 for my Macbook but I can resize it to any screen.

Well, it is, after all, hard to decipher those stick-figure hieroglyphs and the general populace doesn't exactly have time enroll in online cryptography classes.

First desktop on my newfound Macbook Pro. I have a lot more screen space on this computer now and lets me design properly without having to keep closing palettes. I also kept the same icons because I really like that rounded-cornered icon set. Also, as per suggestions made by some peeps, I 'll be going with the "High Energy Apple Pellet" decal for the outside decoration of the Macbook; my brother-in-law will be cutting it for me today.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

That's the most awesome Wordle-style artwork I've ever seen. Are all those Wu-Tang lyrics?

Just taking a break from work. Changed the drive icons to black. I wish I had a black version of that iPod icon but that Flurry icon set only has it in silver.

I don't see a picture so I guess it's pretty irrelevant in the end.

An oldie but goodie: PACTRON!

Also got me a copy of CoverSutra because it's fucking awesome. I now control every iTunes function off the cover floater on the bottom left and absolves me of having to bring up iTunes every time I want to change a track and it's far faster in searching for stuff. Basically, it's the best purchase I've made in a LONG time.

Playing Eyedea & Abilities because, fuck it, they were amazing. RIP Eyedea~

How did you get all your computer stats up in the menu bar? Is that some variant of the iStat Pro widget or a different app?

This is a Dell Studio XPS that belongs to a company I design for here in Visalia. Basically, I don't really have anything on it except a media bridge to link over to my Mac for music, Adobe CS3, Miranda and Chrome. It's a pretty solid machine for a Windows computer too, so I'm not really complaining!

This is the desktop of the new MacBook Pro the school bought for me to use for their work. It uses Snow Leopard and is a lot faster than my MacBook. I like it a lot. <3
