Well - the only way to skip is to use ALT+F4

You can fast forward only by pressing Ctrl.

Damn, that was a bad round.. a really bad one.. That's what I'll get after a month of not playing PCB. Maybe it's just a bad day - the 7th one in a row - cannot even play guitar properly - My hands feel like they're gum!

I'm useless. (I even knew the solution beforehand but wasn't sure ... for whatever reason)
Most likely, I severely lack practice. Hell I get off of EoSD for a day, I get pwned by Sarno on Normal..

I was speaking idiomatically.

Who the hell is... Sarno?

Back to the Wriggle LastWord:
I'm attaching both replays here =D for reference - It's actually not that hard and there is even a chance of surviving if you just stay at one place without moving for the whole time

The first replay is the hard way of capturing the card - Moving left/right/up/down all the time with a constant movement to the left and one or two "correcting moves" to the right.

It was the first way I tried it...and it took me 215 tries

The second replay - no.15 - is an easier way. By just moving up and down, you won't have to mind the blue and red butterflies.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I've been trying to get into Touhou lately (actually my second attempt or so), and it seems to be sticking this time around. Slowly trying to work my way through the actual games, but so far it's tough going. I've only been playing Perfect Cherry Blossom so far, and I haven't yet managed to beat the game on Normal, even after exhausting all my continues. Practice makes perfect, I guess.

Just got SWR a couple hours ago, and this will probably cement my induction into the Touhou fandom. When I tried playing IaMP a long while back I didn't really like the game, but SWR is awesome fun. Suika has to be the most hilarious character ever.

Netplay on this is pretty cool, too. I played Lace for a while, but now I've got to work on the story mode.

o rite, don't forget to patch the game.

Cloudkiller: Did my replay help?

TH11:
Is it just me...or... why don't I like it.

The whole Touhou feeling vanished with PoFV I guess. Everything's so muddy fast and in a way.. very strange... Ah, well - At least I've got my PCB.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Does anyone here play Scarlet Weather Rhapsody (Touhou 10.5)? I play it quite frequently, and I'd really love it if there were more people around to play with.

If you're interested in a match or just chatting, feel free to swing by #rtfo @ irc.psigenix.net, where I hang out.

I might take you up on that since I haven't had too many opponents as of late. Guess I should upgrade my version to 1.04 and give it a shot to see how I fare.

I'm guessing you primarily use Youmu?

I like using Youmu, but I don't primarily use any character. I play around with all of them to varying degrees of success.

The Youmu avatar/sig was just because I found the image amusing.

zzeroparticle showed up last night to play a couple games, which was pretty fun. I won't actually be available 'til this evening, but feel free to drop by any time. There are always folks there to chat/play with anyway.

If you're really bored, you can check out my collection of replays.

More like you enjoying abusing the crap out of Myon .

Nevertheless, the battles were enjoyable and I certainly look forwards to some more matchups. I'm usually free late into the night so that's when I'll most likely poke my head into the channel.

Trust me, you haven't even seen Myon abuse. I only occasionally use that Myon cannon, and it's even more rare for me to do it twice in a row. To do a triple Myon is just desperation...

Also I'd probably have changed my ava/sig by now if I weren't so lazy to do it.

Another fun set of games last night, even if my animu watching combined with my work schedule meant only 15 minutes of play, but it was a solid 15 minutes. I really need to remember to rearrange my decklist for each character. Playing with the defaults just doesn't cut it too well.

For that matter, I should experiment around with some of Remilia's alternate skill cards.

Yeah, your Remilia play has inspired my friend there to play around with more alt skill cards -- Chain Gang (alt 214BC) and Ceiling Fear (alt 22BC). The end result, essentially, is that whenever I play Remilia my life is misery. You can check out some of the alt skill cards in action: Replays. The last 12 or so are what you'll be looking for.

I don't think they're exploits so much as continual fixes. Changelogs generally don't reveal any huge nerfs or changes, so I guess tasofro just has a bunch of free time now.

China Flandre patch coming when
Fixed

But yeah, work's been keeping me too busy to actually update it since we last played just to see what the changes are. Hopefully once I have more free time, I can get back into the game and see whether I can actually adapt to the new changes.

So I take it you aren't able to tell whether the game's more balanced as of the last update?

Balance, schmalance. Who really knows.

You'd have to be pretty skilled at this game to be able to recognize what constitutes imbalance and what's simply getting annoyed at being cheesed by certain moves.
