Vista/XP dual booting woes.

I can't boot into XP for some reason, I just get a black screen and no text after selecting it. Vista is fine.

I have XP Pro 32 installed on the first partition, Vista Ultimate x64 on the second partition. XP was installed first.

After installing Vista it seems to have changed the drive lettering, could that be why? XP was c: before but D: now.

[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT
I tried changing partition to 0, but that just gave missing file errors (when I know the files are there)

There are a total of 2 entries listed in the Vista Bootloader.
Bootloader Timeout: 20 seconds.
Default OS: Microsoft Windows Vista

Entry #1

Name: Earlier Version of Windows
BCD ID: {ntldr}
Drive: D:\
Bootloader Path: \ntldr

Entry #2

Name: Microsoft Windows Vista
BCD ID: {current}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Windows Directory: \Windows

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I don't know what is causing your booting problem but the drive lettering isn't the reason. The OS that boots is always C:, the other OS is switched to D:
I'd suggest try a repair install on xp.

How ya doing, buddy?
