50$ On the PSN, what to get?

Are Ps1 classics a waste? I have little big planet, how about the metal gear solid pack, or the water pack.. What about a premium theme? Or even some games? Help me decide, to get the most for my money

How ya doing, buddy?

If you don't have Symphony of the Night yet, that should be number 1.
Everyday Shooter is easily worth the price if you haven't bought it yet. Same goes for Super Stardust HD.

Really I'd say it's better for Rock Band tracks than anything, since those add up fast.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I haven't bought anything yet, and the world of 'indie' games is new to me. Also I don't have rockband so tracks aren't on my list. Same goes for FF7 and 8. I own the PSone disks so I don't need to buy it again... FFtactics on the other hand... That might be interesting

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

If you don't already own FFT, my Quebec friend, you are a lackwit and a jackenape. Get it. It is beautiful in every possible way. Second: If you don't have it elsewhere, do yourself a favour and get Braid. It is an experience more than a game. If you have LBP, feel free to spruce it up with new things. If you get all the level building swag, the experience of making worlds to play in can be quite entertaining. Also: Wipeout HD. Not only is is gorgeous, it's a fantastic little racer. Skills, Omagnus and I have spent hours on it. Just great.

Okay, list form:

Final Fantasy Tactics
Braid
LBP swag (if you want)
Wipeout HD and the extra content.
Suikoden (cause it's awesome)

Braid is always good, but since the Steam sale is still going strong, I'd suggest getting it on PC because it's only $2.49.

I guess it just comes down to which system you play more games on-- PS3 or PC.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I love steam, I play more games on PC then Ps3.. and alas, I already own braid.

FFT is a must, I used to have it but I lost it Back in the day when I was young and did not know the value of games. For LBP, I'm not really a level builder, so would it be worth it for me? The dynamic theme looks nifty, Wipeout.. Racing game.. Not my style but if you say it's fun i'll get it. And remind me what Suikoden is again?

Suikoden is the best JRPG of all time. Even if you don't generally like jrpgs, Suikoden is worth getting for the story alone.

FFT is ok but it's not as good as Deni is implying. It gets way too easy really quickly and the story alone isn't enough to make up for what rapidly becomes a game where the battles are no challenge. It's fun enough to be worth getting but don't get too excited about it. Also, you can probably pick up the PSP version second hand for cheaper than it is on PSN.

Okay, now I have one important question.. I play on a 42inch plasma, with the pixel grahpics and old school style, is my TV in any danger.. I know if I use the ps3 web browser, I notice image ghosting and stuff almost right away. Will I have any issues?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I game on a plasma too, Turbo. I'm guessing yours is fairly new? Turn down the brightness to 50 or lower, same with picture. Shows off the sexy black levels better anyway. After long term gaming sessions, toss it on normal old tv or high def tv for about 15 minutes. No problems.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Only in the Euros, Kolba.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Actually, it is out on the U.S. store, and it's worth playing if you never did, just prepare yourself for some early game frustration. Before you start crafting decent weapons, battles get quite monotonous.

Nope, it's only out on the Japanese and European store. I've been keeping an eye on a PSN release since I never got to play it back in the PS1 days, but unfortunately it still hasn't happened yet.

Hm. Maybe it was FF Tactics I was thinking of. I could have sworn I'd seen it in the new releases along with Soul Reaver, but I didn't bite because I already have a disc.

At any rate, if it's in the Euro territories, it'll just be a matter of time.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well, my 50$ is gone. I got Wipeout HD, Pixel Junk Monsters, Fat Princess, and the dynamic LBP theme. I have 2.49 remaining.
