Peggle Extreme
I discovered this game when I pre-ordered The Orange Box. For a short demo of the full game (which is a little like Pachinko and a little like Brick-out) and for being free, it's a nice time-waster. Beating the challenges proves difficult if you don't know how to get some of the bonuses. For example, getting both of the green pegs in one shot gets you 50,000 points. Filling up the meter on the left gets you bonus points and free balls. Clearing orange pegs gets you a multiplier as you clear more. So on.
On the Hunter challenge (300,000+ points), my high score is 517,720. I wish they had online score tracking. How ya doing, buddy? |
I tried a demo awhile back, and was pleasantly impressed with it as a time waster. I almost never play games on PC, even simple flash games, but I'd love to see this pop on on XBLA.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Wow just tried this game for fun, and it's quite addicting.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |

Truly addicting, but it feels like it's more about luck than skill

I downloaded a torrent and tried to play on my new Vista laptop, and it doesn't work.
![]() Several people said in the torrent comments that they had the same problem with Vista, so no Peggle for turnip. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
This game has been very addicting probably mostly to the fact it's the only gamefrom the orange box that I've been able to play without any trouble. Its more or less like pachinko but more arcadey. I believe that sums up its addictiveness. This has probably been one of the better time waster games I've played on my computer. Also gotta love Beethoven's "Ode To Joy" when ever you complete a level.

edit: Steam-version though. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() |
