Edit 2: Okay, moot point, IGN is reporting HDD will come standard out of the box, although they didn't cite any source so I dunno, but whatever I'll go with that. Wonder what the price will be; I can't seem them doing it at anything less than $449, I'm thinking $499 US now.

Unrelated, but Gamespot is reporting that the "6 million units" figure is through the fiscal year ending in March 07, not December 06, which dramatically changes how I view all of this if true -_-.

Yeah, but look at how much they charge for the Xbox HD, even PS2 memory cards are insanely expensive for the storage capacity. If the HDD is not standard, I totally seem them doing the system at $399, then releasing the HDD as a $99 accessory.

First, I was unaware that Oblivion came out. I am quite certain that its next week tuesday since I have been following the game since it was announced.

No. Here's the difference -- bongos have no use outside of three games. A camera on the other hand would, as (like I stated in my post if you'd take the time and read it) long as I could use it like a standard camera. I would also expect it to, upon connecting to a wireless network, be able to transfer images to another PSP.

It will most likely be 399$ here in the US. But that's still alot cheaper than friggin 500$. And at 399 it's the same as the 360.

Good news is that Sony doesn't want the confusion of multiple bundles, there will be one PS3 for sale and it will come with the 60GB hard drive, if IGN are to be believed.

Sony doesn't lie. They just announce something, delay it, and explain why. That isn't lying exactly, that's more like, business.

Ok, so PS3 is launching this year. LoL. So where are the games.

Also, the fact that it will include a 60GB HD means that it will cost no less than $500. It's over.

But that price doesn't bother me if I can play AC04 in 720p.

If they do release it in Novemeber, it seems they are rushing it even more than Microsoft were especially seeing as they haven't even finalised the Blu-Ray technology that will run under the hood. All I can say is that it better not have a stupid online service, which I'm worried it will.

I think this will be the PS2 launch all over again where you buy the console and it doesn't turn on, then have to wait weeks for a replacement.

Sorry but waiting 9 weeks (after numerous complaints) for a replacement PS2 leaves a bitter after taste, especially after getting it a year later than those damn fuckers with the squinty eyes, it didn't even turn on. People blasted the 360 release that was nowhere near as bad as the UK PS2 launch in my opinion, to be honest I don't expect it to be much different for the PS3.

I'd take a guess at £500 for a PS3 pack inluding the hardrive, anything more would just be pricing out too many people. But even I think anything above £350 is too much, but from the outset they have always underlined that it would be expensive. So most people are screwed, I may pick it up at launch I'm not sure, I get a month off at Christmas so I suppose it would keep me entertained.....maybe.
