Post of Game, Anime Music Sites (Version 7.0)

Yes! From diaster comes opportunity, and the original thread creator of this (all those versions ago) gets to be the author again!

This post contains sites (LINKS) that contain Video Game and Anime music. Note that this post does NOT CONTAIN REQUESTS. There is an entire SUB-FORUM for that!

Anyway, while my list of links is missing, I do have two to share...

http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks.php

http://lazarus.thehawkonline.com/music.html

Enjoy!

The only problem is the quality of the rips is inconsistent, but this is where I got most of my anime music that isn't from Yoko Kanno.

I would suggest you guys hurry and grab all you can from here. They host Anime, VGM, and Movie Scores.

http://www.allost.ru/

From the menu on the left, just hover your mouse over them to see what you are going to. English -> Movies, Anime = Duh!, Game = VGM. Once you navigate through and select the album you want, click on the little blue box at the bottom of the track listing (to the right). It should open another small window where you can download the songs.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Inforcer, I've checked the link. too bad, they only give two choices:
1. mono 24 kbps
2. 17 sec 192 kbps

oh I noticed that you guys havent added www.slightlydark.com in this thread. there.:doggy:

thats the wrong link, you need to go further down and there is a little blue box. you can download them all at 192kbs or 128kbs. Full version. Let me find a pic to include to show you guys. BRB to post picture (look for edited post).

EDIT: Posted picture. Hope this helps. Once that small window comes up, click on the tracks. They are only numbered, but they should all have ID3 tags included. One could use Ultra Tag Editor to auto rename them from 01.mp3 to 01 - Final Fantasy Theme (or whaterver).

I've added a poll to this thread to ask how people would like to browse the links. Currently it's set up to scroll through the thread and look at the links each person posted. However, I want to know what you guys think.

Btw... this site's speed is extremely slow! I wonder if anyone experience the same with me? I only get speed around 1-4 kbps!

EDIT: www.allost.ru seems dead. All I got in my flashget is 403 forbidden, when I tried to open a link with opera, it displays nothing. too bad...

More info about gh.ffshrine.org
You can't find any FF ost in their soundtrack's list. Try this if you want to get the FF ost.
Go to http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/1
Just change the number to get other FF ost. For example go to http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/3 if you want to get the ff 4 celtic moon.
Hope it help

I suggest alphonse to delete his post about that galbadia hotel. Because the web mistress has said she wont host FF soundtracks in that site. She has received Cease and Desist letter from SE to remove the FF-related music.

Synthesis: In the past, we had a separate thread for emulation formats (e.g. SPC, PSF, VGM, etc.). It included links to players and music. If you wish to start such a thread, and you think you'll be able to maintain it well, feel free to do so.

RE: Galbadia Hotel: LOL Pretty funny that a place called "ffshrine" can't host FF soundtracks. Also, I like how the soundtracks are still there; just hidden from easy public access.

Okay, looking at the poll results, it's obvious that a better thread is in order. If someone wants to start a new version *cough*Inforcer*cough*, go ahead and do so. I'll close this thread and link to the new one.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yes, my bad all. I was use to the thread before last where people threw the posts up and generally people just scanned through the links.

I keep hearing more and more about FFShrine, although not everything. What exactly IS the problem with the site?

How ya doing, buddy?
