I'd say Back in Time has the best odds of winning.

I'm going on my own vacation this weekend and won't be back until Wednesday. I may not have voting ready 'til Thursday. If that's too late for you guys, we can extend the battle another week.

As long as all the songs are uploaded into the nominations folder, I can create temporary voting links (and Drakken can move them into the main folder). I can count the votes and close voting next week too--if you trust me to that is

That would be ok by me, but I won't be able to update the Nomination Queue or research the tracks.

I can update the queue, and I bet Drakken could handle the research if we asked nicely.

This is the best grouping we've had in ages. Screw the fact that one of my nominations is in here, I'm splitting this six ways.

1 Point: Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (Game Rip) - Streetwize
1 Point: Musicdisk - Starshine
1 Point: Revive - Space Deliria 2000
1 Point: Back in Time- Sanxion
1 Point: LaTale (Game Rip) - Viridianscape
1 Point: Elebits (Game Rip) - Mission 27: Me and My Little War

Everyone wins this time around. These are all pretty awesome. I feel bad for the two I didn't give a point to.

1 point - Sega Smash Pack: Volume 1 - Back in Time

These tracks are better than anything in the last two weeks of my voting (my own nom excluded). Starshine is simply great; I knew it would be my top pick from the first listen. Mission 27 grew on me enough to make it something I'd actually stick on a playlist. Back in Time has some cool parts; I like it.

My new nomination:

* Album Title: The Sword of Xuan Yuan Side Story: Clouds of the Han Dynasty (PC Game Rip)
* Artist: Wu Xinrui & Zeng Zhihao (family names underlined)
* Track Title: Clip82
* Source: Xuanyuan Jian - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ; Xuanyuan Jian Waizhuan: Han zhi Yun for Windows - MobyGames ; °aÁÕ¼C¾ú¥N»s§@¤H.û¦Cªí (in Traditional Chinese but states credits for the msuic from the game, 軒轅劍外傳: 漢之雲, somewhere near the bottom of the page)
* File Location: Nominations folder (upcoming; having problems with the SotW ftp...)
* Disc Number: 1 (of 1)
* Track Number: NA
* Catalogue Number: NA
* Year: 2007
* Note: The nomination is the game's normal battle theme. Anyone who happens to have the game's original soundtrack, do send me a PM because I'd be interested in it. :P The OST has some remixed tracks (with, I believe, slightly different instrumentation) not found in the game.

EDIT:

Votes for this week's battle:

(2 points) LaTale (Game Rip) - Viridianscape

(2 points) Musicdisk - Starshine

(1 point) Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (Game Rip) - Streetwize

(1 point) Elebits (Game Rip) - Mission 27 - Me and My Little War

There's nowhere I can't reach.
I think therefore I am... I think.

Beyond tough this week to parse out a selection of eight top-notch tracks. In reality I would have given four tracks two points each and have been done with it, but of course that's illegal here.

(2 points) Revive - Space Deliria 2000
(2 points) Musicdisk - Starshine
(1 point) Elebits (Game Rip) - Mission 27: Me and My Little War
(1 point) Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (Game Rip) - Streetwize

Latest music rips (updated January 10, 2012):

SimCity DS - Jazz/ambient/electronic music including interesting reworkings of songs from the fantastic SimCity 3000 soundtrack
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?

And far be it from me to argue! If you or Kaleb wants to close it tonight after the voting peters out, great. I'll close it myself if it's not done by tomorrow morning

That said: late-breaking votes comin' liek wut.

EDIT: Harder than usual, since I actually voted for a lot of these winners this time. Good job on the voting these past eight weeks.

Streetwize - 3 pts.
Starshine - 2 pts.
Back in Time - 1 pts.

I liked four of the tracks more than the rest.

3 pts.: Streetwize
2 pts.: Starshine
1 pt.: Mission 27: Me and My Little War
Close: Sanxion (Hubbard)

Streetwize was my nom; I love me some Alex B.

Starshine is pretty cool, and wow, does that bass come through. This is the Mud Level guy, eh? I'll have to check out the rest of his album.

I dig Elebits' sound; I nominated Extras Theme awhile back but I don't think it did too well. Mission 27 has some nice melodic parts. I particularly like when the crazy drums play along with the slow melody at 3:00.

Space Deliria 2000 was entirely too long; I'm not keen on tracks like that that don't do much. It's more of a "mood" track rather than having a strong melody I guess. Back in Time also did nothing for me. Viridianscape & Center of the Earth were fine but not good enough to get points in a Battle week.

EDIT: I'll close it... after 24. YOU HAVE ONE HOUR! DO IT NOW!! NOW!!!

*seizure*

HEY WAIT I'M HERE, DON'T CLOSE YET

2 points: Center of the Earth
1 point: Starshine
1 point: Space Deliria 2000
1 point: Me and my Little War
1 point: Streetwize
Just Missed: Viridianscape
Not a fan, but it winning would be the most surreal experience ever: Back in Time

Additional Spam:
MY NOM SLOT IS UP, GIVE ME A SECOND

Additional Spam:
Here we go:

Composers: Fumie Kumatani, Teruhiko Nakagawa, Takayuki Maeda, Yutaka Minobe, Masaru Setsumaru
Album: Shinobi Original Soundtrack
Track: Hiroe Temple (Stage 7-A)
Track #: 14
Catalog #: STF-0010
Year: 2002
Source: STF-0010: Shinobi Original Soundtrack - VGMdb
Additional Info: A soundtrack rip I have features some different track titles than the one on the VGMdb page; Hiroe Temple going as "Glory Temple". I assume the one at the page is more accurate though, due to my rip completely lacking in composer credits. Uploading to FTP now.
