Laptop internet problems

My sister got a new laptop recently running 64-bit Vista. Everything was running fine when just yesterday (or today, I dunno), she is no longer able to connect to the internet. She is bugging me to fix it so here I am.

I have a router set up on my PC and while I can connect to it, it still says 'connection unsuccessful' and it's under Limited Connectivity so nothing is loading. I can't seem to find a way to fix the problem. The other laptops in the apt work but not this one, and yes, the Wireless switch thing is on. Any help?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I never thought about trying that. While I just tried it and it works. Still doesn't work wirelessly though. For some reason it refuses to connect to the net.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I trust you did the obligatory "repair connection"/reboot computer, right?

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I did that many times and it still doesn't work.

Update: Ah, I fixed it!! It turns all I had to do was set TCP/IPv4 to 'obtain IP address automatically.' For some reason it was pointing to some unknown address. Thanks to everyone who tried to help me :3

How ya doing, buddy?
