The Tube, 1984, Haruomi Hosono.

Hi all,

Bit surprised to come across this very short extract from british Channel 4's The Tube, recorded a month prior to the release of the 'Video Game Music' album, in 1984...

For the reminder, Haruomi Hosono used to be one of Yellow Magic Orchestra's band members. The band itself is known for having attempted to record sounds from video games (tracks 'Computer Game, theme from the Circus' and 'theme from the Invader') as soon as in the late 70's. An unsuccesful attempt that, at the time, forced them to recreate the sounds on synthesizers. Hosono, however, persevered in that direction, which eventually resulted in the release of 'Video Game Music' a good few years later...

Jam it back in, in the dark.
