Soo... yeah. I've got a char on every server type except RPPVP. The only real reason I made Mega was 'cause I wanted to see what the brouhaha was about shamans and RP servers.

Oh, and is it just me, or is Blizzard's vision of a warrior "PVE Meatshield?"

Seriously, they've gotten absolutely NO love from Blizzard outside of fixing Shield Slam in the review and a few other bugfixes. And the review and changes were followed by MORE nerfs. Now, when I play in a BG, it's like this 90% of the time 1v1:

Charge, hamstring, get stunned, kite kite kite, Intercept, bash, sheep/fear/Scattershot/Hammer of Judgement/Frost Nova/etc./nothing that a Warrior does unless he's prot spec and then WHY THE FUCK IS HE PVP'ing, charge, Retaliation, wait until the now obvious aura fades, kite kite kite, dead warrior.

I also really love how the devs say that they won't give us a taunt that works in PVP or a shout that disorients because it ruins the player's control, yet there are moves for other classes that do THE EXACT SAME THING.

It also doesn't help that the guy who's supposed to tell the devs about what we want is lying to us. (See: him saying that the devs can't make any changes/buffs because they're too busy on the other classes, then the Pally's guy saying that they'll get additional changes in 1.10 along with the Priest review). Oh, and they still haven't fixed Charge/Intercept (because melee classes NEED to dash 10 feet AWAY from their target!), and now they're making our shouts resistable.

WHAT THE FUCK.

All bitching aside, I'm happy with my war outside of PVP, because I now have a mount. =D And the RP server.. isn't all that bad. Sure, there are times when I can't take it anymore and log, but most of the time it's tolerable.

Yesterday, I pretty much played my shammy ALL DAY LONG.

I went through 3 WSG battles (two of which I won in a 0/3 sweep no less, one of which I never died in, got the most HKs, and was like 3rd for deathblows), finished a RFC run to get those two quests, got Staff of Orgrimmar, then did a metric ASSLOAD of questing, levelled from 14 to 17 (I'm usually lucky to level ONCE in a session of playing), and then ran WC where I was the main healer (and did a pretty damn good job until the EXACT moment we met Verdan the Everliving. 3 died, 4th was a rogue who vanished, he went to me, and then the rogue ambushed and killed Verdan. :sweat: ) and switched the staff that I had owned for all of one day for the Crescent Staff.

Sooo... yeah. I was BUSY last night. I even fucking dreamed about WoW.

Then I woke up because in the middle of the dream I was all like "Hey, wait a second! XR doesn't look like this!"

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

When you get tired of the game, just reroll a different class and the fun is back in the game. It's what I've done... with every class except a pally & a priest.

Try the Atlas UI mod. It not only gives you X/Y coordinates (I think), but it also gives you maps of every instance in the game (which isn't as many as I thought there were ). Just make sure that you uncheck "Replace world map" in the options (found in the instance map screen).

On a side notice, I'm actually thinking of abandoning my warrior. I mean, the thing is that a PVP server... well, it's just not fun for me. Case in point: The last time I logged on to the guy (yesterday), I got ganked and corpse-camped by a 50 priest and a 54 druid. But I can't just delete him yet. I borrowed 25g to get my mount, and I need to pay it back... but once that does, I'm just going to send all my BOE items I haven't auctioned yet to the bank character, sell my gear and send the profits to the bank char, /gquit, and retire the guy.

Yeah, I've got a 15 rogue on that server too, and I've already more or less twinked him out with WC gear. The only problem is... well, again, I've found that I fucking hate PVP.

On my war, the main thing I did was farming elemental fire of the exiles in Arathi Highland. The charms that dropped vendored for a pretty penny, too (err... for a 30-something warrior that was trying to grind for his mount, and failed miserably).

Friggin' A... fucking realms are ALL DOWN. My shammy cries out "play me, play me, don't you love me" and I'm like "I do love you, but I can't log in" and then my shammy cries and commits suicide.

A DDoS attack basically is an attempt to overload a server by pinging the shit out of it in hopes of making it crash from the strain of dealing with in-game traffic AND the pings. If one crashes, then the realm more or less is gone until Blizz can get it back up.

Of course, the method I described is only one out of many that I don't know.

Alright, I am fucking PISSED OFF right now.

Last night, I was running BFD, when I noticed something. I had Flametongue up because I didn't want to get too much aggro while DPS'ing, and I noticed that Flurry wasn't proccing while Flametongue was up. I put up Frostbrand until I got a crit and a Frostbrand proc at the same time, and lo and behold, Flurry didn't go off. I opened a ticket saying "hey, Flurry sucks even more than you wanted it to." And they said that it was "working as intended."

Bullshit it's working as intended! When a skill that essentially gives me my Racial ability every time I crit DOESN'T PROC in tandem with a Flametongue/Frostbrand effect, that's NOT working as intended, that's a BUG.

Yup. My flurry doesn't proc at ALL with Flametongue up (because Flametongue procs off every hit), and it won't proc when Frostbrand does as well (which is actually quite rare, but FB's useless anyway. )

EDIT: Crapcakes, I goofed. It's NOT Chronos. Hell, I cant even remember the name of it. It was this gigantic fucking package that gave me a ton of mods, including Chronos and Sea (I think), but I can't remember it now. =(

Somebody dies outside of the game, and somebody organizes a memorial for the person. And then an alliance guild crashes it for NO FUCKING REASON.

Seriously, that's... bullshit. It's the sort of thing that should get accounts closed, IMO. There's PVP, and then there's being a fucking asshole. Somebody DIED, and people who could not afford to organize in any other way had their memorial ruined... why?

It just boggles my mind. I really have to wonder why somebody would do that. If a guild I were in did that, that would be an instant /gquit right there, period. Especially if it were condoned by the officers.

Wow. Apparently, you've never had anybody die. These people were her friends in one way or another, even if the only way they knew her was through a toon in the game. They wanted to pay respects to her by holding a memorial in an area that was special to her, and these fuckwits decided that they didn't deserve to pay respects to a dead person. What they did was the equivalent of somebody running through somebody's funeral naked, slapping everybody in the face, and pissing on the casket.

Oh, but it's a game. Never mind that you're playing with real people. And that oftentimes real life invades the game, and that this was one of those times. Never mind that these people knew her and respected her. Never mind that they wanted to honor her memory, and never mind that... people, in the loosest sense of the term, decided that it would be funny to fuck with a memorial for somebody who is dead.

Y'know, dead? The thing that happens where you're not around anymore, and you'll never be seen again? It's that sorta thing that makes people sad, and want to mourn the loss of a friend/loved one/relative/etc.

But it's a game, so it doesn't matter a damn bit, even if this was the ONLY WAY they could've organized like this.

So all in all, fuck off, you insensitive prick.

Whoo, hit 36 on my shammy today, after an armory run (got Herod's Shoulder), and two cath runs (all with more or less the same party; we just dumped our warrior and got a new one for the cath runs).

I had a LOT of fun with that second warrior. One time he was dancing practically naked and dancing outside while he waited for us to regroup 'cause we wiped the first run and Morgraine disappeared (and I needed to repair and get more ankhs), and he was all like "DON'T ASK," then apologized for the caps. I said "Don't worry, the caps added extra hilarity. Besides, you're kinda hawt. <3"

And then I proceeded to flirt with him, and blow kisses, and wink. Eventually, he just said "Be fucking glad that we can't duel in here, or I would shove my hoof so far up your ass that you'd be spitting glue for a WEEK."

And then he continued it, saying, "Besides, my horns don't grow that way."

To which I replied, "So you can't get it up? No worries, I can figure out how to make a potion that would fix THAT."

Many good lol's were had by all.

Aaaanyway, though, Triune Amulet dropped off of Whitemane, and I won if off a greed roll, and... well, I'm torn.

It has less +stam than the Dragon's Blood Necklace I'm using right now (7 stam compared to 12 stam), but it has +int, which I'm always hungry for, along with more spirit.

Which should I disenchant...?

But by GOD, does Blizzard need to fucking lower the cost of learning new skills. I went from just over 14 gold to 9 1/2 gold on new skills, and I didn't even get them all (I avoided Windwall totem, plus other trash skills).

I really, REALLY wish something like the Silverblade would drop, so that I could get 60 gold right there and be practically fucking DONE with it.

It's times like these that I loath being too moral to buy gold online...

Ugh.

Well, I hit 40 tonight, got my mount, mail, Chain Heal (which I used once and would have taken off my toolbar if it weren't for the fact that I was in the middle of a fight), and learned to make Heavy Mageweave Bandages.

But... well, let's just say that my good mood was ruined shortly after.

So I was on my way to get my mount when I saw somebody looking for a healer for SM Cath. I'm a 21 NS resto build, so I can heal (somewhat). So, I sent a tell over, and got invited.

To a party with two rogues and two hunters.

Looking back, I should have left right then. ;_;

Anyway, I got my mount and then ran. Needless to say, I died. A lot. The worst part, however, was that one of the two hunters completely ignored my cries of "Help, some mobs are turning me into MUSH!" and continued shooting. This continued until Mograine, where we wiped twice: the first from two mobs we had missed joining in, the second from an unlucky pat.

However, before that, the hunter had overpulled once, and while I healed, a good two or three mobs completely WTFBBQPWNT me. And the hunter just stood there, shooting at a fourth mob, while I died. Naturally, we wiped. Again.

Finally, after the second wipe on Mograine, I said "Y'know what? Screw it. I said that I would leave if I died again, and I've died TWICE."

Then, the moron hunter went "bye" and left the party. I assumed at the time that he had left.

Then, he messaged me. The following is the entire context of our little spat, with names removed.

Seriously, if you're not a) a healer, or b) a squishy, if you see a healer getting attacked, you fucking DROP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND ATTACK THE MOBS KILLING THE HEALER. It doesn't matter if you're a rogue or a warrior.

Wow, the Mages are PISSED about their review.

At first, I could understand because it looked like Shatter was nerfed to 10% crit to frost (compared to 50%), but then IGN changed it. It's now 50% crit, for all spells.

Sit there and blink a moment. Would you like to see a mage running in an AE bombing and getting a 50% crit rate? Uhh....

And then they got Improved Arcane Explosion, AND Evocation as a class-trainable talent... yet now they're complaining about the Arcane tree being shit. I can sorta understand about the gap between Tier 1 and Tier 5 talents, but you guys got exactly what you asked for in the Arcane tree.

I just hope the Shammy review is better. Eyonix (the Blizzard CM for shamans) has said that they'll be revealed next week.
