If you're bored, try to join a guild. Playing with a group or at least having people you can consistently socialize with is a major plus. The reason I got into this game was so that I could play with RL friends, one of which lives in California now.

I would never be able to play only with PUGs. It just wouldn't work.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

For those who like drama, Illidan is certainly an epicentre.

Our forums are littered with Serenity Now ROOLS spam after that funeral video was released.

Here's a question, how much money does everyone have?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

(forgot to put mine)

Currently hovering around 2900G, but I'm grinding for my Robe of the Void, so there's been a bit of a dip.

How about a more constructive question. How do you make gold?

My suggestion is a combination of the following:
  • Auctioneer
  • Uneducated People

Scan twice a day. Once when you just get on, once just before you log off. Simply buy low, and sell high. Keep prices in mind and if you have doubts, don't buy. Check Allakhazam if you'd like, but it's not the same on all servers. Make sure to keep in mind the vendor value of items when you plan to put them on auction (Hint: Recipes = Good / Weapons = Bad) for deposit values, considering you're putting up 1G per auction minimum for some epics.

It's worked for me thus far. I know I've burned through about 6k gold in about a month or two of playing. Just takes a little time to find deals, as there usually aren't many. However, it's much more fun to me than, say, grinding mobs with gankage and all the other associated problems.

http://www.rpgoutfitter.com/wow-gm/c...jaw@US-Illidan

I was speaking idiomatically.

Well, you expect a company to be able to maintain servers and some basics of service for people.

Of course, there's also the Denial of Service attacks on WoW servers these past few weeks. Wouldn't holding a mass attack on a patch day be the ultimate goal?

A nerf on paladins wouldn't be that bad of a thing really.

Pre-patch, AV was always dominated by horde. Now I'm convinced that about 100 Alliance rolled pallys to gain level and participate in AV, which is probably the most effective class in that BG. It's frusterating as hell.

There's no fewer than 20 in each one, it's insane.

Since I'm still in the 50-59 bracket I know they are. We do very well in all of them, but AV has given us a lot of trouble.

I'm 58 now, and hesistant to get to 60, as I know Alliance are certainly tricked out with epic gear by that point. I'm not looking forward to it, as my guild is not large enough to tackle raid content just yet.

rpg, you on Illidan as well?

Otherwise, Malachia must be a popular name.

(I'd say we should hook up to do something, but I see your pale human face under all that cloth. Alliance, grr.)

Better than being in a guild based on friendship. We do not have enough people to raid, let alone do regular 5 or 10-man instances. Did my first Zul'Gurub PUG this past week and was impressed, but I'm still overgeared for what I'm doing.

(This is because I bought practically all my gear by this point. This includes Felheart gear, RotV, Elemental Attuned Blade, etc, etc.)

Wish I could leave, but I really can't leave a guild with several RL friends in it. Much less put up with the raiding schedules of serious guilds.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Actually more, and I could have sold it for about 1700G but didn't want to let it go.

Same thing goes for the recipe for Dirge's Kickin' Chimaerok Chops this past week. I eventually sold that to someone else for cost though.

I honestly have more gold than I need for pretty much anything. I'm gearing up whatever I can since my guild cannot raid (the only raid gear I have is Bloodstained Kilt from ZG), and the cost is negligible, as I can generate more income over time anyway. Just bought the last available piece of Felheart Gear yesterday (bracers I think), but lost out on a Pristine Hide of the Wild for my Cap of the Scarlet Savant.

I'm too lazy to wait for drops or grind, so this is what I do.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

In reference to my previous post, get Auctioneer, scan often, and buy low/sell high.

That's all I've done, apart from some haggling when someone advertises for a certain item at a certain price. Over time you will figure out what sells and you will then know what not to buy, etc.

Does anyone still have characters on Illidan? I remember there being a few but I don't see any.

OK, I've hit the point where I literally cannot buy anything better for my toon than what I already have...

Suggestions on whether to stick with my low-membership "friend-based" guild or to abandon them all to finally get some raid content? I'm geared for MC with 150+ resist unbuffed, have run AQ20 and ZG with PUGs easily... and I'm getting tired of sitting in Undercity scanning auctions waiting for someone to get off their ass and run an instance.

Having 10,000 gold is cool and all, but all it's going to at this point is buying gear for my alts, and I'm not interested in twinks whatsoever.

Again, just a matter of keeping your pulse on the economy.

For example, was able to buy and resell a Recipe: Flask of the Titans and an Assassin's Blade for the initial purchase price of 350G and 15G respectively.

Tried the Noggerfogger + Deviate Delight + Orb of Deception combo tonight to create a night elf female from a undead male.

I was very pleased.

PvP is probably recommended, as if you go PvE, there's no real way to fight Alliance aside from Battlegrounds. And believe me, you WILL want to fight them.

That's right, I assume you're going Horde.

Rolling Alliance just because Horde doesn't look pretty is typical of players that don't realize what they're getting into.

Give Horde a chance. All of my experiences with a Horde character have been far above and beyond anything I've done on Alliance.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I can attest that the human female pirate face from noggenfogger and deviate delight is most certainly fugly.

Meanwhile, undead women are relatively hot, in comparison to the other Horde races.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I agree with the notion that Blizzard has introduced the Alliance a bit better, and play the Horde as underdogs in the whole ordeal. I don't like the starting areas (aside from the brilliant Tirisfal Glades and Silverpine Forest), but the play style just plain differs. What other game has you set up to be the bad guy?

Sure, you can have your standard out-of-the-box adventure as a human or "good" race like any other game, but the Horde gives you a different experience. Yes, they're ugly. Yes, the Barrens isn't so great. However, past the starting areas you're in for a treat as the adventuring becomes far less standardized than what the Alliance offers.

How ya doing, buddy?

Run. Fade. Fear. Feign.

There's plenty of tools to get away. You're in a constantly running world, and there's no way to "stop" things from happening. This includes your own person. If a person on the other end was killing you, I'm sure they'd be a little upset for you to pause on them.

Just picked up a Maiden's Circle and a Crystalline Threaded Cape with a subtlety enchant yesterday. #1 on the damage meter for a ZG run as a lock.

We did it in a raid yesterday, and you get 5 rep for every target you damage that dies eventually, so I was basically cursing everything.

However, still unknown is whether the shadows still drop blues when you're in a raid. We didn't get many after getting out of the 5-man groups we were in.

The patterns for Frost Resist gear are sold INSIDE Naxx, so unless you're in a raiding guild, there's no rush.

AD rep is allright. I suggest you look at the faction rewards page on WoW's site, so you can make a judgement.

As for the undead slaying sets, it seems that bracers drop off of rare mobs, chest comes off the shadows, and gloves are the quest reward.

Meh, rank 11 is a LOT of PvP, which can suck if you don't have that great of gear, much less time to burn.
