Software for Special Cloning?
Hey guys what program can do this:
I have two actual harddrives, both partitioned in half. Hardrive "A" has my OS on one partition (C:\), the other partition has data files. (D:\) Hardrive "B" however has no OS on one partition but has data files on the other. Now what I want to do is clone the OS partition (C:\) of the first harddrive to the blank partition of the other harddrive without having to lose any partition or data files. I am doing this so I dont have to install the OS on the new hardrive and have to customize everything again. Basically it means I want to have two bootable hardrives with the same OS What program can do this? I tried using Acronis TRUE IMAGE HOME v9.0 but the clone harddisk function said it would erase all files on the other hardrive... One other option could backup the partition but the backup would not be bootable, just a compressed, archived backup. Help! Jam it back in, in the dark. |
