Super Monkey Ball Assventure
SMB3 was confirmed a while back but without much details. So it seems that the 3rd entry in the series going to be more of a platform/adventure game with puzzle bits still incorporated into the levels. Also, the number of minigames have been drastically cut down in an effort to make a few solid minigames as opposed to a few solid ones along other less memorable ones.
I'm not sure how I feel about change from puzzle to adventure. With exploration and enemies now thrown in the mix, the puzzle bits could become annoying. I'm still keeping my hopes up though that this won't go down the same path of Sonic. http://cube.ign.com/articles/693/693748p1.html Jam it back in, in the dark. |
From the screenshots, there seems to be an adventure mode and a classic mode where you just go through levels. If they can develop both modes properly, then I'm stoked.
I'm going over to KLOW now to see if the veterans are hate hating on the news like I predict. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I hope it does well. I really liked SMB 1 and loved 2. I can only hope it does well...
But as for having 2 GOOD modes, I don't think so. I don't think they can pull that off. I hope there's some new fun Minigames in it though. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
OMFG I missed the part that said Travellers Tales is doing this. Please don't mess up the physics engine please.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Having a good Adventure Mode and a good Classic Mode. I don't think they can get both of them right.
How ya doing, buddy? |
There's no way in hell this is 'sort of' like Super Monkey Ball 3, it's not even by AV, and this game looks absolutely fucking horrible. First they dilute the franchise with the massive flop that was Super Monkey Ball DX, then they SOMEHOW mess up the DS version, now this
Sega are the absolute worst publisher on earth, a sick group of people who love to grab the hearts of gamers then twist them around. Where's the Super Monkey Ball 3 everyone was asking for in 2002? It's an easy 500k sales! This game however is a candidate for biggest flop of all time. What are Amusement Vision working on right now anyway? What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
They probably fired everyone at Amusement Vision for making good games.

Those screenshots look real cool , its almost like a gen game

Considering the time I've spend splaying Marble Blast Ultra on Xbox Live Arcade, I wouldn't mind a more Marble Blast-y approach. This, however, looks like.. I dunno, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue or something. If they just had made a good game upon Monkey Ball DS, I would have been happy... Most amazing jew boots |
they probably screw up monkey flight mini game again ;___;
All they need to do is take SMB1 and just make a bunch of new levels the kthxbye. no homo |
...Makes you wonder if they're working on Dreamcast 2. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. Always leave important items in your back pocket. Dyne // Level 135 FOnewearl // Viridia Madam's Umbrella // Chao |
I don't even know what's really going on in the right hand side, is that meant to be.. a .. distant... background? Wrapped around ... a wall? But hey it might turn out pretty fun, who knows. I do!
