I just picked up Chris Ware's Building Stories. It comes packaged in a package the size of a board game box, and is filled with all sorts of books and journals and correspondence, which - upon reading - reveal the stories of the inhabitants of a Chicago apartment building along with the anthropomorphic bee who lives outside.
It is somehow sadder and more intense and real than his last major piece, Jimmy Corrigan. I highly recommend it. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
