What socket do you want to be using and is it for an AGP or PCIe graphics card, and also, what sort of price are you looking to spend on this?
There's nowhere I can't reach. |

Socket 452 and its AGP..price doesnt really matter, thanks.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

yes...452 was a typo..sorry.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Socket-A motherboards are pretty darn rare, nowadays. They've pretty much been phased out totally since the arrival of the 64-bit AMD chip. A quick glance on Newegg yields a handful of boards made by less reputable companies, so I can't vouch for them.
Are you using this mobo to build a file server? There might be more viable options than an outdated Socket-A system. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |

yeah, this is an older mother board, i bought it 2/3 years ago. id upgrade the CPU if need be. im just looking for a motherboard that can handle a terabyte if not more. it will be for personal use. mp3, videos, etc.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...SubCategory=22 You'd do fine to stay away from the boards with the SiS chipsets. But I thought I'd mention that you could get a small number of very large hard drives, say 3-4X 300GB, 400GB or even 2X 500GB drives. It might be cheaper than purchasing a whole new system. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |

awesome, ill look at that stuff now, thanks for the replies ^_^..happy holidays
