Old school game I can't remember

I recently downloaded Zelda on my wii, but while playing it I remembered an realy old game similar to Zelda but much more developed.

I think it was for the genesis but I can't be sure, it was like a dungeon explorer game with magic and traps. I remember having to either jump (not really sure if it had jumps) or avoid certain tiles (the floor) because it was a spike trap. It was semi 3D, by that I mean the rooms were angled and not top view and not completely 2D side scroll, but the charaters and items (and monsters?) were displayed 2D. Zelda reminded me this game, so I'm thinking it has a zelda feel to it (maybe the character was wearing a green tunic? lol)

I really wanna find a emu for it to check it out, cause it's been bugging me.

I wish I can find a picture or a simular game play to explain better...

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It looks simular to the one I discribed but thats not it. It's like that but more rougher graphics I think, and it was deffinately not cute-like, more like creepy (in my view). I'm sorry my memory isn't more clearer, but I was probably around 5 so I can't really say much.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

An isometric game, eh?

Solstice? Equinox? The Immortal? Only the third of those are on the Genesis, but those are all isometric games.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Hmm that sounds like Crusader of Centy or Soleil.

There ya go. I played this quite a bit and quite enjoyed it despite the fact it was a total rip off of Zelda LttP.

Even better link, tons of screenshots.

Solstice. That looks very familiar, I think thats it.
Looking that the screenshots, I'm wondering why my memories produces a much more creepy details. It looks simple and everything. I was probably confused I guess, thats usually the reason.

Damn I remembered something from I was 2, thats kinda cool.
Now to find a rom/emu to play it on my compy.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
