[PSP] Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2

I was encouraged (somewhat) to make a thread, so here it is.

Coming this winter, the sequel will have 50 characters compared to the 20'ish from the first game. Confirmed new characters so far Guy, Chat, the main guys from Innocence, Tempest and Vesperia (dunno their names, sorry), Cless, Presea and Veigue.

It will have a much better character customization selection and apparently the game was made from the various feedback received from fans. Here's hoping there's online and local multiplayer. A co-op mode would be hella sweet.

Haven't heard anything about the storyline yet or whether it's actually related to the first game.

It seems a sure thing it will be localized, so who else is looking forward to it? With so many new characters, the number of skits will probably go through the roof.

Update: Okay a trailer has come out and it shows some new stuff, like a a dual-wielding class (finally) and a class that looks pirate-y. Dunno what that entails but it sounds fun. You can see the new characters in the trailer. It looks like he made it too. Check it out on Youtube:

I'm excited, actually. I mean, despite not having finished the first one [which I still plan to do, someday], this still looks pretty good so far. The extra customization and characters is nice, too.

Luca/Ruka, Caius and Yuri, respectively. Haven't seen Luca or Caius anywhere, but there's Spider/Spada/Spaaaardaaaa (from Tales of Innocence) in one of those screenshots.

EDIT: Ah, and there two are in the youtube video Wolf just put up. Surprised Namco even wants to acknowledge Tales of the Tempest.

Yo, I updated the opening post with the trailer. One of the new dungeons has cherry blossoms. Sweet! Another looks like it takes place in a castle. There's several new classes, including a pirate type class and a dual wielding class. Being a pirate sounds kinda fun. You can see Caius in the trailer. I don't know if he can change into a beast.

Actually I'm not sure if Luca/Ruka is in the game. I was kinda thinking he'd be in it if the other main leads are.

P.S. Since short-haired Luke is apparently confirmed from that cut-in pic, I wonder if he replaces the original Luke. I like LH Luke more : /

Trailer says 19 chars from RM1 reappear and 31 new ones join. Also it states music is by Motoi Sakuraba, Masaru Shiina and Kazuhiro Nakamura.

So the 50 character list is true. I also heard off hand that out of the 50, 49 of them are playable but I don't know if that's true. The trailers also don't show any sidekick with you in the dungeons, so I'm hoping the character you play as actually talks this time around.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

So do we know if this is coming stateside yet or not? Although I see no reason to not release it over here.

It was literally announced just the other day. Usually a little bit of time will need to pass before we hear anything.

I guess maybe at E3, but that's pretty short notice.

Kanonno makes a return, so I'm guessing it is in some way related to the first.

Apparently you play another memory-less person who apparently fell off ToE's Van Eltia. Not sure from that means, but it looks like that's the new base of operations for the guild.

The new map looks pretty snazzy and there's some pics of Kanonno.

I heard that out of the 50 characters, only one of them is unplayable. I wonder who it is.

The unplayable character is probably Harold.. I read an updated page on another site, it said that Nanaly and other unplayable characters in the previous game are now playable. It didn't say anything about Harold being playable. "/

... but, I gotta get through the first game though. Its surprisingly long.

The current planned release date for Japan is March of 2009. No word on a US release date yet.
