Heh, I remember the first time I heard of Devildriver. My friend made me listen to it, he said "DOOD THIS IS AWESOME SHIT", so I gave it a listen and after a few songs, I was like "LOL". Although I told him "yeah it's good" cause I don't want to offend him since while we were listening he was like banging his head in the air. Oh, this is the same friend who said it was kinda scary listening to Finntroll's music... WTF man.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

"Onmyoza" dude! They're Japanese, their music is like a fusion of heavy metal and traditional japanese themes. It's awesome.

I'm currently looking for other viking/folk metal bands. I already have the common ones; Finntroll, Moonsorrow, Ensiferum, Wintersun, Einherjer, Asmegin, Korpiklaani, Cruachan, Turisas, Falkenbach, Thyrfing, Tyr, oh and Nerthus. Most of these bands I heard or got from niki and morrigan. Can you guys recommend some other bands of the same genre? I just love this kind of music, heh. (and maybe you can add where I can get it )

P.S. Butterfly Temple owns (*highfive* niki)

Kille_Man get some MOONSORROW.

I bet Morrigan would agree to this. And especially niki.

Can anyone recommend me bands that sound like Gamma Ray/Heavenly/Concerto Moon? I'm kinda of back to my heavy metal/power metal phase again. Right now I'm loving Sex Machineguns (Japanese heavy metal). Now if only I could find bands that sounds like them...

How ya doing, buddy?

OY! Now I have to find where I can get some Stormwarrior. Thanks for the recommendation, as always.

Sonata Arctica is gay. And the other night, some kid was spamming Dragonforce in some channel in undernet, I told him Dragonforce sucks in way that they sound very bland, and he was like "DRAGONFORCE ROXXORZ!". Oh well.

So, what do you guys think of Dream Evil? I just found an album in one of the DVDs I got from Lentium a year ago. Gave it a listen, and I'm liking it.

Whoa, don't let this thread die! Anyways, I downloaded Blind Guardian's leaked album few days ago.. and man does it rock. Scourged the internet some Doro and Falkenbach (who's 2005 album sound a bit different from their 2003 one). This is a happy week for my music folder.

Also, I need my viking/folk metal fix. Sup niki. Gimme names.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well, if there's some way to buy metal CDs aside from importing them, I'll buy CDs. I have a local print of Cradle of Filth's Principle of Evil Made Flesh, that's the closest thing I can get to a "real" metal cd. Most of the stuff in here are either boot copies, or burned mp3s sold as "cds". So for now, I resort to mp3s/oggs/other audio format.

Manegarm - Urminnes Hävd - The Forest Sessions

Now this is awesome. I love these kind of stuff, like Finntroll's "Visor om Slutet".

Tyr does sound kinda dull at times, but the new album has little bits of extra they've inserted in their songs, which is kinda cool. Urminnes Hävd is awesome, and I just discovered Battlelore. Liking them so far. Reminds me of Thyrfing but with additional female vocals.

If given the chance, I would gladly buy the albums of my favorite bands. But metal bands (especially European) aren't that popular in the Philippine market. So you can own them only by importing or if lucky, a local reprint of the album (points to CoF album).

And I still haven't downloaded that thing niki posted. stupid dialup
