Meshuggah - Obzen Abigail Williams - Legend Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son Sodom - Agent Orange Porcupine Tree - Voyage 34 Island - Orakel Agalloch - White EP The last two I got in the mail the other day. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Sodom's "Agent Orange" is bloody awesome, yes?
THE FIRE THAT DOESN'T BURN! I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Indeed it is. This is my first time listening to Sodom. Took me awhile but I finally have a CD of theirs. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Haha, hey, as they say, better late then never.
Sodom was my first real exposure to thrash metal, I think. I was at this music shop (that specialized in metal and rock) and stumbled upon a tape of that album, thinking to myself "hey, this looks pretty good." I asked the owner about it and he goes "best thrash album ever" and pops said tape into the cd/cassette player. Needless to say, much headbanging ensued. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Picked up more CDs today:
Anata - Dreams of Death and Dismay Spawn of Possession - Noctambulant Dismember - Massive Killing Capacity Summoning - Dol Guldur Most amazing jew boots |
That Spawn of Possession album is ace.
I picked up a couple of CDs and a DVD at yesterday's gig (could have picked up more, but I was saving some cash): HORSE the Band - A Natural Death Halal/Hadhari - Kids Roar When Meet the Lion (Malaysian emo/screamo band) And (a copy of) Nocturno Culto's "The Misanthrope" DVD. Which is a bit odd. Not sure if I like it. But, hey, kvlt as fvck Darkthrone rehearsal footage! Footage of forests! Uh... yeah. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Eh, some recent Asian gets:
BENNIE K ~ "The New World" concert DVD. I'm addicted to BK, and I caught some footage from this show online and loved it. YUI ~ "I Loved Yesterday" CD+DVD. My girlfriend, YUI, has a new album, and it's <3. I like the cover photo too... YUI-in-a-box. Hikaru Utada ~ "HEART STATION" CD. Gotta get it since I've been a fan forever. It's a solid album. "Take 5" still throws me off though. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
A few days ago I purchased "Inland Empire" for six dollars. Considering I'm a David Lynch fan, and hadn't seen it yet, It was a very good deal. I was initially turned away, as I had heard things like: "this movie's plot consists of nothing more then idea's Lynch had kicking around, etc." However once I saw it I was pleased, as it seemed like there was definitely a story, but as all Lynch films, it'll require multiple viewings before it becomes clear.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
This week on Gamingforce: David Lynch gets more money.
Finally got a copy of Blue Velvet - odd considering it's probably the easiest of his movies to find (FUCK YOU LOST HIGHWAY) and yet it's among the last I've obtained. Still need Highway and The Straight Story. Highway must first see a release that doesn't suck (i.e. widescreen AND proper 5.1). Also, LotR trilogy in widescreen for ~$20. Is that any good. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Helloween: Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2
Gamma Ray: Land of the Free, Power Plant Dragonforce: Fury of the Storm Good times! I was speaking idiomatically.

I buy so few actual movies it's not even funny. And I never purchase music, other than the one time I got the Mother3i and Mother3+ soundtracks off of iTunes.
Anyway, the last movies I bought? Lawn Dogs, Bridge to Terabithia, Alice (Neco z Alenky) and Silent Hill. And those are the last movies I bought over the past 3 years. Yes, I buy very few movies. There's nowhere I can't reach. |

In my quest for all of Radiohead's available media, I've placed an order for both Comlag (2+2 = 5) and and Pyramid Song CD 1. To add a little more futurepop to my library I've also decided to buy VNV Nation's Judgement.
And a few days before that... I finally picked up Meat is Murder by The Smiths, which I've been intending to buy for at least a year, Rage Against The Machine's self-titled album, Rob Zombie's The Sinister Urge, Aphex Twin's Drukqs double album (which I had to have, having found it for under a tenner) and also Radiohead's I Might Be Wrong : Live Recordings (which has True Love Waits on and as such I'm in love with). I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Oasis: Stop the Clocks. Basically, it cuts right to the good stuff. Although I would have loved to see certain other songs--including "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" and "Whatever--" on the compilation, I was still pretty pleased. Props for including "Songbird," which was ridiculously charming for such a simple piece.
The extras were alright. They were enough, but I was left wanting to see more. I'm wondering why I even bought this. I already have most of the songs in the compilation. Also, I need to get Iron Man as soon as it comes out. The box better be epic--with moving parts and lasers. I was speaking idiomatically.

M83 - Saturdays = Youth. I've always enjoyed their work, especially Before the Dawn Heals US. I'm glad that there's more voice in this now. I've been slowly appreciating this.
