I bought GH 2 in December and can honestly say I find myself drifting over to play it quite often.

It's quite addicting. I'm currently working on playing the songs on Hard (though I can play some on Expert, but I only barely pass them).

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I only have left the last two sets, Rock This Town, and the Encore from that set, though I doubt I'll ever finish the game since I really don't like any of the songs from the second to last set and can't see myself spending any time trying to practice them. =/

Anyone know of a good place to pick up a second controller? CompUSA had them (wired SG) a week or so in stock for $30 plus shipping, but I decided to sleep on it and by morning the price had gone up to $35 and they were sold out.

Maybe you could buy the original guitar/game pack. It's 70$, but you get the first game, too, which is good fun

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

The hack for Guitar Hero II is awesome.

Practice mode is available, though you cannot slow the songs down because we have yet to figure out how to encode the VGS files properly. Select the Lead/Guitar part if you wish to use practice mode.

What hack?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Still waiting on the PS3 guitar adaptor. I almost bought this game but I got a PS3 right before so I figured it was useless to have to whip out the ol' PS2 just to play this.

I still really want to play though. It's a great game.

edit//I was looking through RedOctane's GH forums and it looks like they made a USB adaptor for the controllers. And supposedly it works with PS3. Can anyone confirm? (I know, no one owns PS3.)

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

It allows you to play songs from the first version so you can play them with the improved hammer-on / pull-off system.

Already own the first one, I had bought the game-only version of the second because I didn't know the multi-player would have the ability for each player to choose a different difficulty (which is what made the multiplayer in the first kinda lame).

That's only if you play co-op mode. Faceoff/Pro-Faceoff doesn't let you choose.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Guitar Hero rocks on Wii, maybe DS too

During yesterday's financial results conference call Activision president and CEO Mike Griffith made more specific confirmation of Guitar Hero on Wii. "[Activision] will aggressively target the Nintendo platforms consistent with our multi-platform strategy and Nintendo's expected growth. In fiscal 2008, we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Spider-Man, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero," Griffith told listeners. While this almost certainly indicates that Guitar Hero will arrive on Wii before March 2008, Griffith's somewhat vague statement still leaves open the possibility of a portable version on DS.

Joystiq
Either on Wii or the DS, I don't care as long as I get more GH action.

Let's just hope they don't pull a Konami and give the Nintendo versions crummy songs/themes like that DDR: Disney thing.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Mmm I aint too worried about the songs, I am more worried about the playabilities/wanting to play it over and over again.

I think he was refering to the Plug 'N' Play DDR: Disney Mix

I would like to know how a DS version would work, I invision using the stylus to strum the chords , but that would only leave the D-Pad and/or the L button feesable, but I do expect some exclusives for each system, no doubt.
