ummm... what happened?
When I tried to get to GFF this afternoon, I kept getting redirected to some site advertising some casino thing or something (I don't remember what it was, I didn't really care). Even searching google just took me to the same site, even when I tried to go into certain areas of the site like certain threads. Is our domain name commandeered like this often?
I would have to suspect so as no one else seems to be saying anything about it... Jam it back in, in the dark.

that doesn't really look like the same issue, but... ok
the issue wasn't logging in, it was that gamingforce seemed to cease to exist for a few hours. It doesn't look like i was the only one, there's something like a 3 to 3 1/2 hour gap in activity this afternoon... This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

It just seems like it's GFF's time of the year again.
For some odd reason for the past two years, the site seems to go dead just around this time for a short amount of time. It kinda just seems normal to me at this point. As far as I and others in chat could discern, there appeared to be a hiccup in the DNS registries that the ad site took advantage of when it got updated.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Basically, the domain registration expired and Hostway never sent me a reminder email. Kudos to Teioh for alerting me.
I've renewed it for 5 years, so it'll be a while before I pull another Bobo. FELIPE NO |
