Smallville (Season 5 Discussion)

Same thing goes for 24 thread. USE SPOILER TAGS FOR UNAIRED EPS AND AIRED PREVIEWS PLEASE.

For all things Smallville basically go here
http://www.kryptonsite.com/

Since we are on hiatus until March 30th, next ep is TITLED
Spoiler:
Hypnotic
I figured we could talk about your opinions of Season 5 so far and what you liked/did not like.

In regard to the the last episode, "Cyborg", with the teen titan, I thought was very good, just a little behind "Run" of last season for comparison to other future heroes. Lots of shit happened primarily with Lionel/Martha and the Lana/Clark. I really want Lana and Clark to be together with her knowing the secret, and THEN realizing that it will never work becuase he has a bigger destiny, but I don't know if that will happen after what happened in "Reckoning". Basically he won't tell her now, because he knows she is too close to Lex and he would know immediately that she knows, and he can't let that happen. It is not because she is in more danger when she knows the secret because she is always in danger. It is the Lex factor. She thinks there is still good in him because he is actaully a good liar and she can't read him like she can Clark. If only Clark just fucking tells her, and tells her everything about what Lex has done. However, that won't happen. My bet is that she just finds out on her own now. Who knows though.

Meh I will leave the great Lionel (John Glover holla) discussion until later.

Also, I was just accidently spoiled on a guest star next ep.
Spoiler:
James Marsters
I would have rather not known, but what are you going to do.

How ya doing, buddy?

Yeah next ep should be all the rage! I can't wait for "you know who" to make an appearance.

I thought the Cyborg ep was pretty standard until the last sequence with Lionel. It bumped the episode from a 5/10 to a 7 in my book. Lionel is easily one of my favorite characters.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I have been posting there for a long time, cool site. But not the best. I still post over there from time to time tho.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah "Void" was pretty sweet I thought, which was the last episode. The episode that returned from hiatus "Hypnotic" was rather weak. Although Fine was great in it, of course.

Void just had so many spectacular scenes. Clark running to Honduras, the Johnathan scene, Lex/Mom piano scene, and the Clark is stunned, he has no idea what to say to Lionel "Goodbye.........CLARK!, scene.

How ya doing, buddy?

Damn, this is the first season that I've actually missed most of it. I have class at the same time Smallville's on this semester. I finally saw the episode where Clark's dad died. *tear* Wow. The whole thing wouldn't have happened if Lex wasn't drunk (the first time around, thus not causing Clark to have to "reset" the time continuum). I'm really starting to not like him.

So THIS Thursday is the new episode? I'll try to record it while I'm at class.

Also, can someone bring me up to speed on what happened after Brainiac disapeared in the fortress earlier in the season? I have no clue about what happened up 'till when Clark's dad died.

I was speaking idiomatically.

No the whole thing wouldn't have happened if Johnathan didnt win the senate race (or you could say Lionel caused it by giving Martha the campaign money, etc), but that was his fate and caused Lex to get pissed off at his life. And Lana would have died because of Clarks death earlier in the season, but Clark turned back time, and Jor El: The universe will find a balance. Clark just didnt know it would be Johnathan.

Also Thursday will be the third new episode since the hiatus. Just download the eps you missed.

Please note: If can watch the show, please watch it. Dont download torrents if it is not needed.

Also where is all the smallville fans at , who post on this board?

Double Post:
Also

Before next weeks' episode gets here, i'm trying to get all the smallville fans together. The ratings starting with Hypnotic and void and Fragile has been low.

So i want to see , all smallville fans report to this thread. I dont care what you say, just post in this thread.

I'm going on different forums trying to round everybody up.

Fact is, the ratings should be around 4.0 or 4.5 million, but its at 3.1. or 2.5 rating, thats terrible and i'm trying to figure out where everybody went at.

I hope before this season ends, we can see a boost in the ratings. Plus i also think there is a lack of promotion for smallville, which is hurting the show.

Well I for one don't care about promotion because it spoils the episode, so I avoid them at all costs. The ratings are low because of the over month hiatus and the fact the "Void" was the only real good episode. "Hypnotic" and "Fragile" had their moments of greatness, but were just mediocre eps overall.

However, I hear we are in for some great stuff in the last 4-5 eps.

Oh and Ridah, I can't post at Kyptonsite. I have been there forever, but It will never allow me to login no matter hwat I do. I can register just fine though.

Well lets hope for the best and try to get people back watching. Hypnotic was good , you know fine was there and all , but the other stuff, was weird. Fragile was good, but had little to do with superman, expect maybe for clark being just a good person ha haha. Void was good, infact real good.

Anyway, so you can register at kyptonsite, but you cant post?

That is strange. You can post over at:

I actually go here first for all my smallville news and discussion.

I got a feeling the last four eps will be fantastic. I mean they should be with all the storylines left unfinished. Can't wait to see what happens with Lex/Clark/Fine and Clark/Lionel/Martha. As well as Lana/Lex/Clark. I am hoping that Lana actually find out at the end somehow about Clark and Clark tells her evverything about Lex and so she stays away from him for the most part. However, I am probably wishing too much from TPTB.

I'm hoping Zod makes an appearance at the end of the season. Maybe they'll set it up where he has to fight him all next season or something. Hopefully he'll be cast well if they do decide to throw him in. I just hope that these final episodes of the season begin to escalate quickly. No more freak of the week fillers; they need to get down to business.

Welling's directorial debut wasn't too shabby. The glass manipulator dude really wasn't a threat in the slightest to Clark, but other than that, it was a decent episode.

Ok i see, yea making clark battle zod and the rest of the group into next season would be cool. I'm thinking about it right now hahaa.

I like the freak of the week thing, but i guess now is not the time for that.

Yeah, it wasn't that Fragile was bad at all. It was just done already. Frankly, the A storyline was the same thing as "Stray" in season 1.

yeah, i'm guessing for welling's directorial debut, they wanted to give him something rather cookie cutter... something that he's familiar with. as many freak of the week eps as they have done, i guess he couldn't screw it up.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

While the episode began like crap with the whole Saw ripoff... it turned out well at the end. The last confrontation between Clark and Lionel was awesome. Now it's got my wheels turning as to what Lionel was freaking out about at the end of the ep. What did he write on the paper as he was collapsing? Is he still in some way possessed by Jor-El? Creepy how he kept calling him son.

Next week kinda looks like a filler to me. With only 3 eps left, they need to escalate things quickly. I'm hoping the finale will be an hour and a half like last season.
