Non-proprietary HD Receiver?
Hello,
I was wondering if there was such a thing as a non-proprietary HD receiver, I don't want to buy one from Shaw, only to move 4 months later and have to buy another one from Rogers or whatnot. Do these exist? Jam it back in, in the dark.

Doubtful. Each cable company transmits signals encoded in a unique format. You COULD try and ask people from around your locality (Dubai, right, or is it Canada?). But, if you are in a position where you think you might be moving within the next four months, then maybe you can wait till then to buy one.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
