What's up with Moon's server? I can't get anything knk posted. =(
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Yeah, sorry about that. Moon's server folded right after that post. I reupped a few of them. Give a shout if you want one of the other ones.

Cool, thanks. I could really go for that Farmers Market album. The previews on iTunes sound interesting to say the least. XD
I put up a few albums, nothing really obscure, just what I've been digging lately. Some good stuff lately...the two Nova put up, Fleet Foxes, the new Porcupine Tree (although I had it already)...and damn, Thank Christ for the Bomb is badass! How ya doing, buddy?

I'm going to be posting some good stuff soon... Transatlantic, to be precise. I just got the extremely hard to find Bridge Across Forever and even harder to find SMPTe: The Roine Stolt Mixes in the mail, and I want to share the greatness with you all. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Those are rare? They have 'em on amazon. =p I only have the former, and frankly I'm not a fan (I hate Neal Morse). But I'll give SMPTe a shot anyway. Speaking of Roine Stolt, I think I should post some Flower Kings, and maybe some of his solo stuff...
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Hm, so they do! Touché, Amazon...
The Roine Stolt Mixes aren't on there for anything less than $75, anyway. So there =P And yes, Flower Kings are fucking GREAT! Do you have Flower Power? I'm dying to get my hands on that one. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Yeah, I've got 'em all. I'll put it up tomorrow.
I figured the Roine Stolt Mixes would be something different, so that's cool. I've got a few albums in the mail myself, hopefully some of it will be worth putting up. Most amazing jew boots |
If you've already heard SMPTe, it's not as different as I would have liked it to be... He basically just adds some nice textures here and there while bringing up the levels of his guitar throughout. It's a very Stolt-centric mix, giving SMPTe a more Flower Kings feel, but it's still very good.

I'm pleasantly surprised by Baloji...cool.

Someone indeed posted Birds of Fire a while ago, but I'm glad you re-posted it since I've been interested in checking it out. Great timing!
Also, digging that Parlor Mob CD you shared a few days ago. They have an excellent sound. FELIPE NO |

A couple nights ago I gave Dave Tate a spin before I fell asleep...holy crap, he's brilliant. I've been telling people about him all weekend. And it only took me two months to figure it out. =p
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Just as a quick update, I added The Brecker Brothers - Heavy Metal BeBop. I may add something else soon as well, we'll see what happens.
Also @ sprouticus: the links to the "Transatlantic" albums were 404'd. Any chance you could re-up those? I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Which ones do you want? I took them off my webspace to make room for Genesis, but I can put whatever ones you want on Sendspace for now.

Well I'd like to hear the first album to see what they're about, and then the others if possible later on.
Speaking of which, thanks for the Genesis, I've only really listened to Phil Colins when he went solo, aka IN THE AIR TONIGHT, WOAHWOAH. Most amazing jew boots |

There ya go! Let me know if you want the other(s)! Most amazing jew boots |
I'm beginning to think it's sprout's mission to share every last famous prog act with the MEC. Personally, I think it'd be pretty sweet if you had any of the obscure stuff you might find, say, on the Prog Archives' playlist. You know what I'm talking about. Have you ever heard of Arena? I always thought they were pretty cool.
Heavy Metal Bebop is fucking sweet. It's like Earth, Wind and Fire meets Chick Corea. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I myself am slowly but surely digging up some stuff for my own listening pleasure... It's great to know I've barely scratched the surface of what this awesome musical "genre" has to offer. I will have some more stuff up soon, I assure you There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I've been giving the Brecker Brother's album a listen and I'd like to urge everyone who's into Fusion Jazz to give it a listen, it's pretty awesome stuff. Will's analogy is pretty much right on the ball.
Also, to those of you who like the Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Lost Trident Sessions is IMO their best album, so look for it if you have a chance. If I were in Montreal, I'd up it but unfortunately I won't be there for another three months so that's not possible right now. Just thought I'd mention it since it's definitely worth a listen. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. Juggle dammit
