Noob Ass Case Fan Question.

Are you supposed to have your fans blowing air out of the case or into the case?

I always thought air should be blowing out of the case, but sometimes it seems like air blowing into would work better.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The important part is to establish a steady flow of air. How this can be effectively pulled off for your system is a case of trial and error (or gratuitous CFD simulations). Generally, I try to have two fans, one pumping air into the case, and another pumping air out of it on another side. What my current rig has ended up with is a large fan that pumps air in through one side and through the cpu heatsink (I have a ThermalTake Typhoon) and another fan pumps the air out through the back.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
