The series was major hit throughout world, especially in Brazil, you will probably encounter a lot of brazilian sites if googling for information of St. Seiya. I found this gem in this site. I never thought the music of St. Seiya could be arranged so beautifully, considering the music theme of St. Seiya mostly heroic and shonen-ish. In this 45' 57 duration CD, we are listening to classical piano transcription of St. Seiya. While the anime itself contains the usual dramatic BGM and typical 90s-quality synthesizer, this cd felt radically different. I found the tracks are arranged in minor keys, while the original compositions are usually using major ones. My most favorite track is Time and Nebula Chain. Rest of the tracks using a lot of dissonant which doesnt suit my taste. You could see the examples in the track 5, track 7, and track 10. While the performance is brilliant, the music in this album is something else. This album is not just a plain piano arrangement of anime BGM, I could barely distinguish the original theme transcripted in in this CD. This piano album is not for everyone, and might less enjoyable to those who are looking for cheerful, melodious piano album such as Tokimeki Memorial Piano Collection, Suikoden Piano Collection, etc. But why dont you give it a chance and do the judges by yourself? 4/5 Jam it back in, in the dark.

So how's the difficulty?
More difficult as FF7 pianocollections or Arc the Lad piano album? There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I couldnt really tell because there is no sheet music available. You could compare the albums by yourself.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
