I just discovered a new type of ramen made by Nissin. "Choice Ramen." Low in fat and sodium without taking away any of the flavor. If you fear carbs, then stay away.
Boil some water and dump on the noodles. Mix in the flavor packet, which comes in a little lump and isn't of a salt like consistency. Cooking doesn't get any easier then this. Unless you can't boil water.

Interesting, I haven't seen the noodles here in Australia but I'll probably just check their website. I'd like to know what they use to substitute the flavour with the low fat and sodium content, considering those are the 2 major flavour enhancers. And since we're on the topic, my friend's mate's family is involved in instant noodle industry and her father bans the whole family from eating instant noodles. The irony, eh?
I'm with coeccias for potatoes and chicken as comfort food. There's the braised potato and chicken dish my mom used to make that's really, really good, but she rarely cooks that anymore.
But since I'm alone now, I usually go for something sweet since they're more..readily available? Ice-cream, chocolate and the likes.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
