Buying RAM, need advice.

Newegg.com - Kingston ValueRAM 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

I'm thinking about getting that for my stock POS Dell Dimension 3000.

Is this a good brand? Good price? Will it even work?

yadda yadda, all help appreciated. Mucho gracias.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yes. Decent price. Seems like it ought to.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I'm in the same situation. Currently my PC has 512mb of ram. If I get a 1gb stick, will it work if I pair it with the 512 ram? Or should they have the same amount of memory for them to work? Or same brand?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

You can put in any combo, just be sure that they're all the same speed otherwise the faster one will underclock itself to go the same speed as the slower one. You should also put your biggest RAM stick in the first slot followed by the next biggest, etc etc.
