Problem playing .pss files on media player classic

When I open a .pss file in media player classic, the audio works perfectly, but there is no volume. I'm using the latest media player classic and the PS2 Audio (PCM/ADPCM) filter is checked. Any ideas on what to do?

Jam it back in, in the dark.
