Possibly because nobody has ever heard of those people before? I can even identify the Fire Emblem characters, but I have no idea who those people are.

Hey, what about Little Mac? He's a cornerstone of NES history, I think he deserves a little recognition. He punched out Mike Tyson dammit, that has to count for something.
